SAN DIEGO (CNS) - At least one person was seriously injured this morning in a crash that may have involved an alcohol-impaired driver, the California Highway Patrol said.A car reportedly rolled over and caught fire about 3:44 a.m. on southbound state Route 15 near state Route 94, according to a California Highway Patrol incident log. Moments later, dispatchers were told the car appeared to have exploded.The fire-damaged car was then struck by another car, according to the incident log. A third vehicle was also involved in the crash, though details were scant.At least one person was left with serious injuries. SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A man held up a gas station in Mountain View and escaped on foot early today, police said.It happened just before 4 a.m. at a Chevron gas station on National Avenue near 35th Street, according to Officer Sarah Foster of the San Diego Police Department.A man walked into the gas station and pointed a gun at an employee, demanding money, Foster said.The employee complied and opened the cash register. SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A woman was seriously injured when she crossed into the path of an oncoming car in Linda Vista, police said Saturday.A 72-year-old woman had just gotten off a bus at a stop on Linda Vista Road near Tait Street around 5:20 p.m., according to San Diego Police Officer Robert Heims. She walked to a marked crosswalk and began to walk across the street against the signal, Heims said.At the same time, the driver of an approaching Toyota did not stop for the pedestrian and hit her, Heims said.Paramedics were dispatched and the pedestrian was taken to a hospital. She suffered extensive head injuries, Heims said.Police don't believe drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash. 700
