So now I’m scared and I don’t want to leave my kids outside playing in the backyard," said Schultz. "I also need to check the pool and check before going outside the house."The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said the gator was 9 feet long, and was relocated to a farm."It concerns me. A white rhino born last month at San Diego Zoo Safari Park has been named Future for what the calf represents to rhino conservation worldwide, officials said. The baby is bonding with her mother and frolicking in a maternity yard left wet by recent storms. “Future’s new favorite thing is mud,” zookeeper Marco Zeno said. “She sees a puddle and she wants to roll in it!” Future is the 100th southern white rhino to be born at the park and the second conceived through artificial insemination. A strong earthquake has struck the west coast of Indonesia Friday, according to the United States Geological Survey.The USGS said the 6.9-magnitude earthquake struck just after 8 a.m. ET. It said the epicenter was in the Sunda Strait, 65 miles from the city of Tugu Hilir in the province of Banten, on the island of Java.The shaking was felt in Indonesia's capital city of Jakarta, 240 miles from the epicenter, prompting people to run out of their homes. The earthquake lasted around 40 seconds.The Indonesia's Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysical Agency issued a small tsunami warning for four areas following the earthquake.The agency lifted the alert just after 10 a.m. ET after there was no change in the sea water level.The quake also caused some blackouts, plunging some of the affected areas into darkness.The Indonesian National Board for Disaster said it was working with local authorities to evacuate people living on the coastline. The board told people in the affected areas to evacuate to higher places.According to USGS data and the Indonesia Tsunami Early Warning System, there was no tsunami threat to other countries along the Indian Ocean. 1174

ALLENDALE, Mich. — Hundreds of dollars in school lunch debt in Allendale, Michigan, is about to be paid off in full. That's thanks to a mom teaching her kids the value of charity and a local business who stepped in to help.Aaron Haight says she wants her children to learn to be a blessing whenever possible and that you can do that in many different ways."I wanted to give back to the community, but I also wanted to teach my kids kind of about their privilege and how important it is to give back when you are in a place of privilege," Haight said.That’s why, a few years ago, Haight's family started fundraising to pay off hundreds of dollars in school lunch debt for Allendale Public Schools."Every year, we worked with Jody who is the director of food service at Allendale Public Schools, and she would kind of tell us about how much money we needed to raise and we would raise it through friends and family and some local businesses contributed throughout the year," she explained.That was the plan again this year. That is until Trail Point Brewing Company in Allendale stepped in and pledged to pay the debt in full.Co-owner Greg Evans says he was inspired when the Mitten Brewing and Fetch Brewing did something similar.Evans said, "It's something that really hit home to me.
