BEIJING, May 18 (Xinhua) -- China hopes that the deal Iran struck with Brazil and Turkey will help advance the process of resolving the Iran nuclear issue through dialogue and negotiations, Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi said Tuesday.Yang made the comments in telepone conversations with his Turkish and Brazilian counterparts, Ahmet Davutoglu and Celso Amorim.Yang said that China has always sticked to the "dual-track" strategy in seeking a solution to the Iran nuclear issue and China appreciates the mediation efforts made by Turkey and Brazil.China attaches importance to and welcomes the agreement the two countries signed with Iran on supplying nuclear fuel for the research reactor in Tehran, he added.Davutoglu and Amorim briefed Yang on the efforts Turkey and Brazil have made concerning the Iran nuclear issue.They stressed that the deal the two countries reached with Iran is an important and positive step, which offers a new chance for the international community to peacefully solve the Iran nuclear issue through diplomatic means.Iran signed an accord with Turkey and Brazil in Tehran on Monday under which it will ship most of its low enriched uranium to Turkey in exchange for the 20-percent uranium fuel needed for its Tehran reactor.

SHANGHAI, April 21 (Xinhua) -- China Eastern Airlines resumed some flights to Europe Wednesday, a week after ash from a volcanic eruption in Iceland halted air travel.China Eastern resumed services between Shanghai and some European cities including Moscow, Frankfurt and Paris.The airline had canceled 17 flights bound for London, Moscow, Frankfurt and Paris from April 15 to 20, affecting about 8,000 passengers.The carrier said it used bigger Airbus A346 and A343 models to transport as many stranded passengers as possible.German airline Lufthansa resumed flights from Shanghai to Frankfurt late Tuesday. Other European carriers, including Air France, Virgin Atlantic, KLM and Aeroflot, resumed services between Shanghai and Europe Wednesday. BEIJING, June 3 (Xinhua) -- Revised regulations on internal management, discipline and formation regulation of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) are issued Thursday to further advance the army's development and modernization.Chinese President Hu Jintao, also Chairman of China's Central Military Commission, recently signed an order to promulgate and enforce the three regulations.Unlike the previous version, the revised regulation on internal management adopted provisions on psychological counselling to armymen and provisions on their use of mobile phones and the Internet.It also modified a wide range of provisions covering oath, dress and bearings, as well as confidentiality rules, security systems and financial management.The three revised regulations are to come into force from June 15 this year.
