He said when it ended, he stayed in the room to talk to the victims, some he knew. Sharon says he and an off-duty firefighter went to the aid of a victim who was face down on the ground. He says that victim was one of the two men killed in the attack.“I just want people to understand--the kids that were lost yesterday, the men that were lost yesterday--that the brotherhood that they were a part of, for their family members to understand, that they their son, brother or father didn’t die alone, that they died in the midst of family,” says Sharon. “They died, it was very tragic and unfortunate, but they died, you know, their last moments on earth, last moments alive, were doing something they loved.”Sharon says the actions of one person should tear apart a community, but allow a community to come together and not become numb to mass shootings in the country.Two people were killed in the attack. One of the victims, 27-year-old Taylor "spotmeplzzz" Robertson was identified by his gaming sponsor, Dot City Gaming. A British woman was saved by the Croatian Coast Guard after spending what she said was close to 10 hours treading water overnight in the Adriatic Sea after falling off a cruise ship.Kay Longstaff spoke to Croatian news outlet HRT shortly after arriving back on land."I fell off the back of the Norwegian Star," said the woman, who lives in Spain, according to her Twitter account. A man has been arrested after allegedly attacking a woman with a biscuit in Nashville. An affidavit from Metro Nashville Police said officers were called to 2301 Murfreesboro Pike on Aug. 19 in response to a domestic disturbance. A Google Maps search shows a BP gas station at that address.A woman told police that she was in the backseat of her boyfriend’s car when the suspect threw a biscuit that hit her in the face. The victim reported being in pain after the incident.When they left the area, the suspect allegedly charged after her and punched the hood of the car, leaving a large dent. He then yelled, “I’ll kill you mother f***er,” the police report said. The victim said she was “very much in fear” and believed she would have been hurt had her boyfriend and another person not intervened. Police later arrested Jeffrey L. Tomerlin on a charge of public intoxication. Officers said he smelled of alcohol and his level of intoxication was so high that he may have been a danger to himself. The affidavit also said he was an “unreasonable annoyance” to people in the area. For a week, a dummy has been hanging perilously from the side of his house, unable to reach a ladder that's fallen.The knock-off was a bit too good. Last week, a day after the installation, Alfred Norwood Jr. stopped his car, jumped out and ran to help the man hanging from the roof.The tense moment was captured on the Heerlein's Nest camera."Can you reach it? Can you reach it?" Norwood calls up to the man on the roof, as seen in the video. "Help!" he yells toward the street, turns away and runs back to call the police.When Heerlein found out what happened, he and his family tracked down the good Samaritan to let him know the dummy was fine and thanked him for his efforts."The thing was out there only one day, and Alfred was running to save this man's life. Alfred is a veteran and it was his instinct. He was the only one who jumped out and tried to help," Heerlein told CNN on Monday."He thought the guy might have been electrocuted by the lights ... but the dummy wasn't responding," Heerlein said.A police officer who came to the door after the mixup said police had received several calls about the Christmas display saying there was a man hanging from the roof.After the attempted Clark Griswold rescue, Heerlein said he put up a sign letting people know Griswold is fine."Clark G. is part of our Christmas display. Please don't call 911," reads the sign. "That so far has been sufficient," Heerlein said.The homeowner and the good Samaritan reunited on Monday, a week after the incident. Norwood was rewarded for his efforts.Norwood was the only person to stop and try to save the man, Heerlein said. Norwood served in the US Air Force and was assigned at the former Bergstrom Air Force Base, according to Heerlein."At the end of the day we were able to contact him and had him over to the house and thanked him for his service. And gave him a gift card," Heerlein said.Norwood is now subscribed to a chili of the month club. It's a fitting gift inspired by the movie: Griswold received a jelly of the month subscription as a Christmas bonus from his boss.When Heerlein first talked to the veteran on the phone, he asked if he needed anything. Norwood said he wanted to buy some groceries because he hardly had money to buy food.
