Dozens fetuses and infant remains were discovered during Detroit police raids on two metro Detroit cemeteries on Wednesday as part of the state's investigation into Perry Funeral Home.According to police, the raids were prompted by a tip that there were between 100 and 125 fetuses from Perry Funeral Home being stored at the cemetery.Officers say they discovered 27 sets of infant and fetal remains that had improper or missing paperwork from Knollwood Cemetery in Canton, Michigan and 17 from Gethsemane Cemetery in Detroit.In October, officers found 36 fetuses in cardboard boxes and 27 more in freezers from inside Perry Funeral Home in Detroit. (KGTV) -- The City of El Cajon is hoping someone comes forward to claim a tortoise found traveling the city's sidewalks Thursday afternoon. According to a post of the city's Facebook page, paramedics came across the "patient" slowly making its way down the sidewalk near Emerald and Washington Streets. The city said jokingly that the creature may be suffering a little "shell shock."The tortoise was taken to the El Cajon Animal Shelter to be checked out and held until the owner comes forward. Check out the full Facebook post below:  581

EL CAJON (CNS) - Murder and attempted murder charges were filed Friday against a man accused of shooting two men in El Cajon earlier this year, killing one of them.Roberto Hernandez, 26, faces 59 years to life in state prison if convicted of the charges stemming from the March 20 shooting that killed James Bowens, 20, and injured another 20-year-old man, both El Cajon residents, according to Deputy District Attorney Clayton Carr.Police said officers responded just before 8 p.m. to reports of gunshots in the area of 700 Applewood Drive. Witnesses said "a confrontation had taken place in the street near the intersection of Applewood Drive and Cedar Street," according to El Cajon police.Bowens died at a hospital of at least one gunshot to his upper body and the other man was shot in the leg, police said.A suspected motive for the shooting, and the relationship, if any, between Hernandez and the victims, was not disclosed.Hernandez, who entered a not guilty plea, is being held without bail and is due back in court June 29, according to county jail records. 1076

However, the buyers discovered the claims to be false and the dogs became very ill shortly after the sale – and some even died, said police.
