Following the recent death of a fraternity pledge, Florida State University has banned all fraternities and sororities.Tallahassee, Florida police said Pi Kappa Phi pledge Andrew Coffey, 20, died at an off-campus chapter party on Friday, Nov. 3. Investigators collected alcohol bottles at the scene but have not released an official cause of death for Coffey. Former President George H.W. Bush was taken to a hospital in Maine on Sunday after experiencing low blood pressure and fatigue.Bush's spokesman, Jim McGrath, said in a tweet Sunday afternoon that the President, who is 93 years old, will likely remain at a Southern Maine Health Care facility "for a few days for observation.""The former president is awake and alert, and not in any discomfort," McGrath continued.Bush was previously admitted to a Houston hospital last month after contracting an infection that spread to his blood the day after a funeral was held for his wife, Barbara Bush. For the first time, the FDA has given authorization for a test that will detect for both coronavirus and influenza infections.The test by Quest Diagnostics can be performed at home under doctor’s approval. Patients can collect a sample at home and ship it to a Quest Diagnostics laboratory for analysis, the FDA says.“Today’s authorization for a COVID-19 plus flu test using samples collected at home is a significant step toward FDA’s nationwide response to COVID-19. Former Arizona Diamondbacks player, Matt Mantei, was reportedly arrested in Michigan Tuesday for assault and battery.According to TMZ Sports, Mantei, 44, was arrested and booked into Berrien County Jail.Details surrounding his arrest were not immediately available but Mantei remained behind bars as of Wednesday morning, TMZ says.Mantei played 10 seasons in the big leagues for the Diamondbacks, Red Sox and Marlins. On July 8, 1999, he was traded by the Florida Marlins to the Diamondbacks where he remained through the 2004 season. 552
