Canadian police say an armed man crashed his truck through a gate and breached the grounds where Prime Minister Justin Trudeau lives before being arrested two hours later. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police say Trudeau was not present at the time of the incident in Ottawa on Thursday. Royal Canadian Mounted Police Deputy Commissioner Mike Duheme declined to name the suspect or talk about his motivation, only saying the man had several weapons. CANTON, Ohio -- An Ohio police department is investigating three separate homicides that happened within 24 hours, including the death of a 1-year-old twin boy who was shot and killed while sleeping.Police in Canton, which is about 60 miles south of Cleveland, say the first homicide happened on Tuesday at around 8:25 p.m. in the 1400 block of Louisiana Court Northwest. A 31-year-old man, identified as Ronald Pleasant, was shot and killed at the scene. A 21-year-old man was shot and taken to a nearby hospital. His injuries are not life-threatening.The second homicide happened in the 100 block of Pulley Place SE at around 10:43 p.m. A 20-year-old man, identified as Brandon Bush, and another 20-year-old man, were both shot. Both were transported to local hospitals by the Canton Fire Department. Bush died from his injuries.The third homicide happened at around 2:28 a.m. Wednesday in the 1600 block of Clarendon Avenue SW. One-year-old twin brothers were shot while sleeping inside a home on Clarendon Avenue. Both were transported by the Canton Fire Department to local hospitals where one of the brothers, identified as Ace Lucas, died. (KGTV) - A video of kids from around the country giving thanks to emergency workers during coronavirus has gone viral in a way that its creator never imagined."I really think that when given the opportunity, the kids stepped up to the plate," says Sarah Hunter, a teacher at Sage Creek High School.She saw other people posting pictures of their kids with signs of gratitude and thought her kids could do something similar. "My three drew little pictures. They sat down and recorded what they had drawn and gave their little messages."Before posting that, she asked friends and family on Facebook to do the same with their kids. (KGTV) – A woman found dead on a Carlsbad hiking trail was stabbed to death, police revealed Tuesday.Carlsbad police said the 68-year-old white woman was walking or jogging Monday morning on the Hosp Grove Trail East, near the 2600 block of Monroe Street, when she was attacked.The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office determined the victim, a Carlsbad resident, was stabbed to death.According to police, a tip has helped in identifying a man who may have been in the area at the time of the incident.The man was described as white or Hispanic, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet 3 inches tall, with a husky build and a tan complexion with dark hair. The tipster told police the man was wearing a black shirt, black shorts, and possibly a black hat.Police said the man was seen walking slowly with a slight shuffle or limp.Police noted that it is “unknown at this time if this person is related to the incident.”Anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the area of Hosp Grove Trail East, between 10 a.m.-12 p.m., is urged to call Carlsbad police at 760-931-2165.Police said in light of the incident, extra patrols have been assigned to the area. 1184
