SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Ballast Point has introduced its way of giving back to the San Diego community after 20 years in business.Ballast Point is releasing "Made in San Diego," a new beer which will benefit the San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporation. The brewery will donate 50 cents for every case of the beer sold to the EDC Foundation Entrepreneurship Fund.Leaders from the city and Ballast Point officially tapped the beer at Wednesday's San Diego Padres game at Petco Park.RELATED: San Diego-based Ballast Point to become Disneyland's first on-site brewery"As a brewery that has called San Diego home for over two decades, we couldn’t be more excited about this announcement," Marty Birkel, president of Ballast Point Brewing Company, said. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — As temperatures hit highs across the county's eastern portion, officials are taking annual precautions to close several popular hiking areas.Six county parks will be closed throughout August, including El Capitan Preserve near Lakeside, Hellhole Canyon Preserve in Valley Center, Mt. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Days after pleading guilty to misusing campaign funds, Congressman Duncan Hunter has announced he will resign from Congress.Hunter, who represented the 50th District, pleaded guilty Tuesday to a federal charge of conspiracy to misuse campaign funds for personal use. Though after the plea, it wasn't clear if the embattled Congressman would resign.“Shortly after the Holidays I will resign from Congress. It has been an honor to serve the people of California’s 50th District, and I greatly appreciate the trust they have put in me over these last 11 years," Rep.
