(KGTV) - Surveillance cameras captured a chain-reaction, hit-and-run crash in National City Tuesday morning.For Honey Mae Kenworthy, the remnants of her totaled car are hard to look at."I cried when I saw it," said Kenworthy.Surveillance video shows the last moments the 2003 Acura TL was undamaged, parked by her husband on Cleveland Avenue outside his work in an industrial park. Just past 7 a.m., a car speeds into frame and smashes into back of her car, pushing it into the car in front of it."Upset and angry whenever I see it ... he's obviously not paying any attention," said Kenworthy.After the crash, the gray car backs up and parks. The driver then gets out and starts picking up his car parts. After about 5 minutes, the man gets back in the car and drives off."Just an awful person for doing that. I felt robbed of my hard work ... had just paid of the vehicle," said Kenworthy.The driver didn't quite get everything. He left several parts, including a section of his right front bumper. Kenworthy says those parts belong to a Lexus, giving police a few more clues. Without an identification on the mystery driver, she's out of luck since she doesn't have comprehensive coverage. The car was likely going to be her 15-year-old son's first car."I feel really bad I might not have anything for him. (KGTV) — Police have arrested two suspects in the death of a teenager found in a National City alley in November.National City Police said Friday that 18-year-old Jonathan Cardona Martinez, of San Diego, and 18-year-old Alan Monroy, of Chula Vista, were arrested for the murder of 17-year-old Ivan Rojas on Nov. 27.Rojas was found just before 1:30 a.m. in the west alley of 1900 C Avenue suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. First responders arrived and performed life-saving measures, but Rojas died at the scene.Both Martinez and Monroy have been arraigned on first-degree murder charges and are being held on million bail.Anyone with information on the case is asked to call National City Police at 619-336-4460. 751

MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin — The parents of a 9-year-old Milwaukee girl shot and killed by her brother over the weekend have been criminally charged.Marcel Antonio Jelks, 32, and Talisha Lee, 29 both faces charges. Jelks has been charged with child neglect resulting in death and possession of a firearm by a felon. Lee has been charged with child neglect resulting in death, and furnishing a firearm to a felon.According to Milwaukee Police's preliminary investigation, Miyanna was accidentally shot by her brother — who is a minor — in their home in the 4500 block of North 38th Street just after noon on Saturday. She was brought to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead. Police say the brother was been taken to the Milwaukee County Children's Court Center. "She was a beautiful, young girl. She was smart, intelligent. She was just 9 years old," said Jay Jones, a family friend.Jones said seven children live in the house with their mom and dad and he doesn't believe the father knew their was a gun inside the house."They are not the type of people to put their kids in no type of danger or anything like that," he said.If convicted, Lee faces 25 years in prison. NATIONAL CITY — SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Trash is increasing along San Diego freeways and homelessness appears to one of the driving factors, Caltrans reports.Caltrans officials held a news conference Thursday to raise awareness of the growing problem and encourage people to do the right thing. While Caltrans has no statistics, the agency says its crews are seeing more homeless encampments along local freeways, especially through urban areas, and officials believe that's contributing to the increasing litter. "The encampments in the right of way do generate trash," said Mario Orso, Project Director for Caltrans in District 11, which covers San Diego and Imperial Counties. He stood along an on-ramp to I-805 in National City as it was being cleaned by a contracted litter crew. Orso and other Caltrans officials said along with more homeless encampments producing trash, the problem appears to be on the rise from drivers as well, especially those transporting loads of trash or refuse to landfills without properly tying down their loads. San Diego is not alone, Orso said, as Caltrans officials up and down the state are holding news conferences to increase awareness and encourage people to act responsibly.Orso said trash pickup along freeways puts those who have to clean it up, like Caltrans workers, contractors and corrections inmates, at risk.
