Whole Foods is getting even more Amazon-y.Amazon, which purchased Whole Foods last year, is offering its Prime members an additional 10% off sale items when they shop at Whole Foods.The additional discount will apply to hundreds of products throughout the stores. To get the discount, Prime members will have to scan the Whole Foods app at checkout, after signing into the app with their Prime membership.Earlier this year, the companies launched free two-hour delivery on Whole Foods groceries in 10 test cities, through Amazon's Prime Now service. Amazon expects to expand that offering later this year. Eligible Prime members also receive 5% back on Whole Foods purchases when using the Amazon Prime Visa card.Amazon now has more than 100 million Prime members. Those emissions are in the form of burps and farts as cows and other animals digest their food.Burger King partnered with scientists in the U.S. and Mexico to test different remedies humans have used for centuries to calm tummies, including chamomile, baking soda, and lemongrass.What they found is adding lemongrass can reduce that animal’s methane emissions by a third. Roughly 100 grams (about half a cup) of dried leaves is added to the cows’ daily feed.The research was done in partnership with U.C. Davis in Northern California and Autonomous University of the State of Mexico in Toluca, Mexico. The findings are being made available to everyone, and Burger King is pledging to continue to work with scientists as part of their beef sustainability strategy.Starting Tuesday, select Burger King locations in Miami, New York, Austin, Portland and Los Angeles will offer the Reduced Methane Emissions Beef Whopper sandwich, made with beef from cows eating the lemongrass diet. 1290

WICHITA FALLS, Texas — A man who was in jail awaiting trial for charges of sexually assaulting a child was released after his parents won the lottery and he posted a 0,000 bond.Jason Carlile is the 47-year-old suspect's name, and he is out from behind bars with an ankle bracelet for monitoring by authorities as well as a curfew. Carlile is the same man who was convicted in 2007 of buying a 15-year-old girl from the girl's mother. He served a three-year sentence.The girl's mother was also given a prison sentence in the incident, KFDX reports.Carlile's mother and stepdad won million in the Oct. 31 Lotto Texas drawing. Now, Google Maps will be using a wider color spectrum to bring out more details.Using high-definition satellite images from more than 98 percent of the world’s populated areas, Google uses a new color-mapping “algorithmic technique” to translate the information into a more vibrant map.The idea, according to a blog post from the company, is to create a map with more natural features, so users can quickly distinguish between tan beaches and deserts, or blue lakes, rivers, oceans and ravines.The team at Google Maps explains how the color-mapping works. “First, we use computer vision to identify natural features from our satellite imagery, looking specifically at arid, icy, forested, and mountainous regions. We then analyze these features and assign them a range of colors on the HSV color model.”Google Maps has undergone a handful of updates this year in conjunction with the app’s 15th year in existence, including a better sense of depth in Live View, more detailed directions for commuting, and easy-to-find contribute and explore tabs.Still to come, Google Maps is promising an update that will show more details about street width and shape.
