BEIJING, Sept. 30 (Xinhua) -- China again called for a political solution to the crisis in Syria as Russia, the United States and the United Nations hastened diplomatic efforts to bring peace to the war-torn country.

He also called upon Tokyo to shift the focus of its foreign policy from the United States to East Asia and make concerted efforts with Beijing and Seoul to promote regional development and world peace.
