SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Raids are expected to begin across the country this weekend targeting undocumented immigrants with deportation orders.According to the New York Times, ICE agents will target some 2,000 who have deportation orders in at least ten cities. The raids will include "collateral" deportations, meaning undocumented immigrants at the scene may also be detained."There is definitely fear," said Benjamin Prado, a member of the 38-year-old group Union Del Barrio. This weekend, the group will be sending out an unspecified number of patrols in various communities. Prado showed 10News a video recorded by the group on Thursday morning. In it, a tip from neighbors in City Heights led them to two vehicles believed to being driven by ICE agents. The group in turn informed people through different means, including social media posts about the presence of the agents.Another group taking action is the Council on American-Islamic Relations. On Thursday morning, national CAIR reissued a community advisory ahead of the impending raids."When you're stressed the first thing you forget is your rights," said Aleena Jun Nawabi, who heads outreach for CAIR San Diego.In the advisory, CAIR officials emphasize rights, including not having to open the front door unless there's a warrant.Those rights are also highlighted in cards and handouts that will be given out by Union Del Barrio. Sources tell 10News that San Diego is not expected to be included among the cities in this first round of raids.An ICE spokesperson issued the following statement: “Every day, as part of routine operations, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Fugitive Operations teams target and arrest criminal aliens and other individuals who are in violation of our nation’s immigration laws for the safety and security of our communities. The rally was one of hundreds that took place across the country as part of a "Stop the Bans" national day of action. The protests are in response to a law in Alabama that only makes abortion legal when the woman's life is at risk. Several other conservative southern and midwestern states are considering similar measures to restrict access to abortions. "It's a very personal thing, and it's something everybody should have the right to do, to choose yes, I'm going to keep this child or no, I'm not," said Cynthia Knoop. Activists, elected officials, and faith-based leaders chanted, sang songs, and vowed to "not take a step back.""I can't believe we're still fighting this fight and having this discussion. Feet from Palisades Park is an impressive home, perched on a bluff and boasting a pristine view. That home is now adorned with something not so pristine."Not good. It's an eyesore for the area. Spoils the whole look for the area," said Nick Tulip, a tourist from England.Neighbors say the large tagging appeared on the home over the weekend. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man they believe robbed the same San Diego gas station twice in six months.According to police, the first robbery happened at the Chevron on the 3500 block of National Avenue on June 2 at 4 a.m. with the second taking place November 3 at 3:52 a.m.During both robberies, the suspect stole cash and cigarettes, pointing a handgun at the clerk. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 35 to 40-years-old and between 5’6’” and 5’9” tall.During the June robbery the man was wearing blue jeans and a black hooded sweatshirt.
