Alek Minassian, the man accused of plowing into pedestrians with a van in Toronto on Monday, posted a cryptic message to Facebook minutes before setting off in his rented vehicle, Sgt. Graham Gibson, a homicide detective with the Toronto police, said Tuesday.CNN law enforcement analyst Josh Campbell said earlier that investigators told him they believe a post on Minassian's Facebook page refers to the man who killed six and injured 14 in a drive-by shooting and vehicle ramming attack near the University of California Santa Barbara campus in 2014. But then he noticed four to five victims on the ground as he drove a few meters further.DeMatos said he stopped to help another victim, who was already being aided by someone."I went over to try to perform CPR on him. ... He died in our arms," DeMatos said."It was like a scene from a war zone. There was garbage cans everywhere, broken bus shelters and mailboxes on the ground."A dramatic arrestCell phone video obtained by CNN partner CTV appears to show a tense standoff with a suspect after the incident. Police have not said whether the person in the video was Minassian.The footage appears to show a man standing in front of a white van with a damaged front bumper. The man is yelling and extending one arm, pointing an object at an officer standing behind a black car.The officer has his weapon drawn and pointed at the man. The officer slowly steps toward him and yells "Get down, get down!"Later in the video, the man is seen on the ground and the officer is cuffing his hands behind him; the object can be seen lying on the ground off to the side.As for whether the suspect had a weapon, "There's nothing that indicates he has a gun," Saunders said.Trudeau offered his condolences to the families of the victims. A man in Florida called police while Collier County Sheriff's deputies were chasing him Tuesday morning.The sheriff's office report said it all started because the suspect acted suspiciously. The sheriff's deputy went up to the car and smelled a smell similar to marijuana.The deputy spotted a baggie that contained a green leafy substance. The suspect then grabbed the bag, put it in his mouth, and sped away."I need help, please," said Aric Frydberg, the man who was arrested after the 7-mile pursuit on U.S. 41. "There's a police officer chasing me," he added.Fort Myers-based WFTX obtained the 911 call. The operator tried numerous times to get Frydberg to pull over.But during the phone call, Frydberg tried to get the operator to make some calls on his behalf. The first set of calls was to his parents."Call my mom, call my mom," said Frydberg. "Please call my mom," he added while on the phone.Then he took it a step further and wanted to speak to the president.  "Donald Trump is a close friend of mine," said Frydberg. "We made a deal," he added while he was trying to convince the operator.Frydberg then changed gears and tried a different strategy.  "My mom called me and said she was in a car accident in Homestead," he said. "My flesh and blood was in a car accident and I have to stop and help you," Frydberg added.Deputies eventually got him off the road and phone.The report goes on to say the deputies searched the car and found glass pipes with burnt leafy residue on them. Alabama football coach Nick Saban has tested positive for COVID-19 just days before the Iron Bowl. Team physician Dr. Jimmy Robinson and head trainer Jeff Allen said in a joint statement that the positive test came Wednesday morning. The top-ranked Crimson Tide host No. 22 Auburn on Saturday. The statement says Saban has "very mild symptoms, so this test will not be categorized as a potential false positive."
