A new company says it can sell your home faster and save you thousands of dollars in commission using the latest technology.After 26 years Susan Beach and her husband decided to put their home on the market using a new real estate agency called REX. Susan says within hours of signing with REX, they already had potential buyers wanting to see their home.“We got a text that a showing appointment has been scheduled," Beach said. "They give you choices of what time, and you pick one and it was like 'wow.'" Just like local real estate agents, REX agents post your home on places like Zillow and Trulia. Co-Founder of REX Jack Ryan said the company uses specific technology to pinpoint the perfect buyer and market your home to them through targeted ads.“The difference is we can find the buyers because we make predictions about who the buyer might be for your home then drop ads on them,” said Ryan.They work with companies like Crate and Barrel and Best Buy to research what potential buyers are shopping for or are interested in and tweak their ads accordingly.“I know people think it’s too good to be true but that’s the miracle of technology today, which is you can target people exactly based upon their behaviors and people think is relevant ads,” said Ryan.Not only do they claim to sell your home faster, Ryan said REX can save thousands of dollars in commissions. “We do everything a real estate agent would do but we do it for 2 percent not 6 percent or 5, 6 percent which can mean ,000 or ,000 to a person,” said Ryan.Susan said what she saved will go toward their retirement.Rex isn’t the only company offering this type of service. SAN MARCOS, Calif. (KGTV) - A pedestrian was hit and killed Saturday morning while on a sidewalk in San Marcos, according to the San Diego Sheriff’s Department.The woman was walking on the 500 block of E. Mission Road around 11 a.m. when she was hit by a black BMW that jumped the curb. Skid marks show the car first tried to stop on the asphalt, then hit the curb, a teenage girl, a tree then a wall. Witnesses said the driver is a baseball player and senior at Mission Hills High School.7-Eleven employees told 10News, the victim is also a student. They said she was at school Saturday morning for dance team rehearsal and walked over to the 7-11 on Mulberry on her break to buy some snacks. On her walk back to school, they said she was hit and killed.Friends of the young woman gathered at the crash site to pay their respects, lay flowers and light candles Saturday night. The driver was not injured and stayed on scene to cooperate with investigators.The cause of the crash is under investigation.Students say that stretch of Mission Road is known for speeding. While the limit is 45 mph, they say the flow of traffic is often 10 miles above that. 1206

(KGTV) — Businesses along the U.S.-Mexico border are bracing for a potential border shutdown, after President Donald Trump tweeted the threat Friday morning."If you get a day or two of closures, then there are a lot of businesses that won’t make it," predicted Jason Wells, the executive director of the San Ysidro Chamber of Commerce.He says, back in November when the San Ysidro Port of Entry was closed for six hours on a Sunday morning, it caused a .3 million economic loss to the businesses in the area.RELATED: Trump threatens to 'close' parts of U.S.-Mexican border if Mexico doesn't halt immigrationAcross the entire southern border, he says there is about billion in commerce every day that could be impacted by a closure.A lot of that impact would be felt on the Mexican side as well."This is a heavy handed ploy to get Mexico to react," commented Wells. 896

(KGTV) -- Kelley Keatly and her husband were walking in their San Marcos neighborhood Wednesday morning when something caught their attention.They noticed a red sticker stuck to an electrical box. When they looked closer, they saw a message of hate, one that read: “The symbol of white resistance.”The sticker included a link to a website filled with hatred - towards Jews, African Americans, and the LGBTQ community.ABC 10News is not identifying the group.“Really I just see it as an act of pure evil, and it has no place in my community, it has no place in any community,” Keatly said.Keatly took the sticker and posted an image of it on a neighborhood Facebook page. Melissa Burgess saw the post and then found four - on electric boxes and traffic lights, including ones near San Elijo Elementary and Middle schools, where her children attend.“I came home, I was shaking just from anger and pain and hurt and just all of that from having seen that here in my community,” she said.Then, even more neighbors found the stickers, including on the back of Stop signs.The stickers come after a recent spate of hate-inspired incidents in the county, including people wearing swastika face masks to grocery stores, and another driving with a Nazi flag.Tammy Gillies, who heads the San Diego Anti-Defamation League, says it’s vital to report all incidents.“You have one person that can be radicalized on the Internet, one person that is drawn to look at a website through these fliers or these stickers and goes down a wrong path, so it is very concerning,” Gillies said.She alluded to last year's deadly shooting at the Chabad of Poway synagogue, allegedly carried out by a 19-year-old radicalized online.The Sheriff's Department says a total of seven stickers were located. (KGTV) — San Diego Sheriff's deputies say a father has been arrested months after the death of his infant child in Santee.Daniel Charles Marshall, 34, was arrested on Thursday by the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force and booked into San Diego Central jail for murder and child abuse resulting in death, according to the Sheriff's Department (SDSO).On April 22, 2020, Santee Fire Department responded to a home in the 8600 block of Paseo Del Rey in Santee to a report of a seven-month-old infant in medical distress. The infant was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment but was pronounced dead three days later.Child abuse investigators responded to the scene and, eventually, homicide detectives took over the case.Homicide detectives obtained an arrest warrant for the infant's father, Marshall, who was arrested this week.Anyone who may have any information about the case is asked to call the SDSO Homicide Unit at 858-285-6330/after hours at 858565-5200, or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477. 1027
