URUMQI, Oct. 3 (Xinhua) -- The Tarim oilfield branch of PetroChina, China's largest oil and gas producer, said Thursday that they discovered a huge gas field with an estimated reserve of 115.3 billion cubic meters in Xinjiang's Tarim Basin.
In the first half of this year, retail sales of consumer goods in China reached 19.5 trillion yuan (about 2.83 trillion U.S. dollars). Consumption contributed as much as 60.1 percent to the country's GDP growth and remains the most powerful growth engine.
"We hope that the cities and provinces can strengthen cooperation and promote communication among people from different countries," said Yu Xiufen, head of the Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism, adding that the culture and tourism industries have played an important role in the communication between countries and regions along the Belt and Road.
Wang Huning, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and a member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, attended the ceremony.
It also made arrangements on establishing a rational, safe and highly-efficient key farm produce supply system which takes ensuring national food security as its bottom line.
