SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Some business owners in downtown San Diego claim a new bike lane on 6th Avenue is hurting their ability to operate.“We’re having a lot of issues with loading,” said Bon Pinak, the general manager of Thosakan, a Thai restaurant on 6th Ave.The new protected bike lane was placed along the curb. All the parking on the east side of the street was removed, as well as most of the loading zone.Only two spots were left for vehicles. Posted signs say they can be used for 20 minutes for commercial loading until 6 p.m. After 6 p.m., it turns into three-minute passenger loading.“I got a ticket three days ago,” said Remzi Kaval, owner of the Coffee and Talk cafe on 6th.He said he was unloading some supplies in one of the spaces, but it was after 6 p.m.“We don’t have any space where we can park.”The new protected bike lanes have been installed in various places across the City recently. Both as an attempt to make biking safer but also to meet the City’s climate action goals.“It’s great. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego Police say there may be more victims of a sexual assault suspect arrested last month.Juan Carlos Cordero, 35, was arrested on March 21 for multiple sexual assaults, police say. Based on the evidence though, police are looking other possible victims or persons with information.The crimes may have occurred between early 2015 and March 2019.Cordero is currently in custody and being held on million bail.He's described as a Hispanic male, about 6-feet tall, weighing 185 pounds, with neck length brown hair and unshaven. He also may have identified himself as "JC."Police said Cordero would approach intoxicated women at bars and nightclubs and convince them to go back to his apartment or hotel, where he sexually assaulted them. SDPD added he may have met women through online dating apps, where "he meets us with them, has them consume alcohol and/or drugs, and sexually assaults them." In San Diego County, home sales are down more than eight percent year-over-year. Despite a dip in sales, home prices rose 2.6 percent from February of 2018 to February of 2019.The median home price in February was 9,000, CoreLogic reports. The report points out that total SoCal home sales in February were the lowest since February of 2008, when only 10,777 homes were sold.
