A City of Long Beach flag was stolen and replaced with a Trump campaign flag outside the city’s police department public safety building over the weekend.A padlock was placed on the flagpole by the people responsible to prevent the “Make American Great Again” flag from being removed.The department says because of the construction, access has been limited to primarily construction employees. A burly kangaroo whose buff physique shot him to internet fame has died at the age of 12."We have lost our beautiful boy, Roger," Chris Barnes, owner of the Kangaroo Sanctuary in Australia, announced on Saturday on Facebook.Roger, who was 6 foot 7 inches and weighed nearly 200 pounds in his prime, was rescued by Barnes as a joey after his mother was killed on a highway.In a video tribute to the marsupial, Barnes said he was inspired to set up the 188-acre sanctuary in Alice Springs to house the famous kangaroo and his growing harem of wives."I built it so they had a place to live," he said. Roger was the sanctuary's alpha male for many years, Barnes added. "He grew up to be a kangaroo that people from all over the world have grown to love as much as we love him too."Roger's death led to an outpouring of grief on social media. Australian singer Natalie Imbruglia called him "such a proud strong boy" in an Instagram post, while the Australian government's tourism agency described him as a "true icon."The beefcake kangaroo became an internet sensation in 2015, when a picture of him crushing a metal bucket with his bare paws went viral on social media."As a man kangaroo if you want to have a wife you are going to have to fight for her," Barnes told CNN at the time. "Now you try and get your opponent in a big bear hug basically and wrestle them, and Roger did that to the bucket."Despite his bulging biceps, the kangaroo could not defeat the aging process, suffering from a loss of vision and arthritis in later life.But Barnes assured fans in a 2016 video that Roger was loving retirement. A federal judge has dismissed adult film star Stormy Daniels' defamation lawsuit against President Donald Trump.Daniels sued Trump after he said Daniels' story of a man threatening her not to come forward with her story of her alleged affair with Trump was "a total con job."Daniels argued Trump's tweet "attacks the veracity of her account" of the incident and that Trump's statement was "false and defamatory, and that the tweet was defamation ... because it charged her with committing a serious crime," District Judge S. James Otero wrote in his opinion Monday.Trump had asked Otero to dismiss the lawsuit."The Court agrees with Mr. Trump's argument because the tweet in question constitutes 'rhetorical hyperbole' normally associated with politics and public discourse in the United States. The First Amendment protects this type of rhetorical statement," Otero wrote.Daniels says she and Trump had an affair in 2006, shortly after he married first lady Melania Trump and she gave birth to their son, Barron. Trump has denied the affair.In addition, Trump is entitled to attorney's fees, Otero said.Trump's attorney Charles J. Harder said in a statement to CNN, "No amount of spin or commentary by Stormy Daniels or her lawyer, Mr. Avenatti, can truthfully characterize today's ruling in any way other than total victory for President Trump and total defeat for Stormy Daniels.""The amount of the award for President Trump's attorneys' fees will be determined at a later date," Harder added.Daniels' attorney, Michael Avenatti, responded to the ruling on Twitter and said: "Daniels' other claims against Trump and Cohen proceed unaffected. A Georgia high school teacher is under investigation after he was filmed telling a student he "might" shoot the kid in the head.Paul Hagan, a white physics teacher at Rockdale Career Academy, was filmed ranting against an unidentified black student, according to Atlanta's WSB-TV."Don't smile at me, man," Hagan is heard telling the student. "That's how people like you get shot."In the video, which WSB shared on Facebook, Hagan goes on to say, "I gotta bet by the time you're 21 somebody's gonna put a bullet right through your head. OK? And it might be me the one who does it."The video was apparently shot by another student.Officials at Rockdale Career Academy are investigating the incident.
