(KGTV) -- Disney officially announced Tuesday that the park's latest venture, 'Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge,' will open in the summer of 2019.Disney previously announced that the land would open in 2019, but it was unclear exactly when guests would be able to explore the new area. Disneyland guests will be the first to enjoy the land. Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge won't open at Disney World in Florida until late fall of 2019.The park says the Star-Wars themed land is the largest singe-themed land expansion ever undertaken by the company. As part of the announcement, Disney released a new sneak peak of the land. An envelope containing ricin was recently sent to the White House, which has prompted an official investigation, sources told the New York Times and CNN.According to New York Times sources, the exact location of the origins of the letter is unknown, but believe to have been sent from Canada. Mail sent to the White House is screened off site before reaching the complex.According to the CDC, Ricin is a poison found naturally in castor beans.“If made into a partially purified material or refined into a terrorist or warfare agent, ricin could be used to expose people through the air, food, or water,” the CDC said, adding that there is no known antidote for ricin.The White House has been the target of ricin mailings in the past. In 2013, the FBI confirmed two letters were sent to the White House containing ricin. 827

American Airlines said Wednesday evening that it was moving ahead with furloughs for 19,000 employees as CARES Act stimulus funds expire.In a letter to employees, American Airlines CEO Doug Parker said the furloughs would begin Thursday."Despite enormous bipartisan support for an extension of the (Payroll Support Program), our elected officials have not been able to reach agreement on a COVID-19 relief package that would enable this extension," Parker wrote. "As a result, tomorrow, we will begin the difficult process of furloughing 19,000 of our hardworking and dedicated colleagues."Parker added that he spoke with Treasury Sec. Steve Mnuchin on Wednesday, who told him that the White House is continuing to negotiate with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on another COVID-19 stimulus package that would include further stimulus for the airline industry."Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that any of these efforts will come to fruition," Parker wrote. "However, in an effort to encourage cooperation and keep hope alive for our team, I informed the Secretary that if these efforts to extend PSP are successful over the next few days, we will reverse our furlough processes and recall any impacted team members."Past by Congress and signed into law by President Donald Trump in March, the CARES Act included billion in stimulus for the airline industry in March.
