That mountain of paperwork became a pile of ash."In a February 2013 post on the blog of a political action committee he established in 2012 called Elect a New Congress, Fawell said that Beyonce's husband, rapper Jay-Z, "has a long history of serving up the godless Illuminati" and shared a YouTube video that speculated that Beyonce's upcoming halftime performance at the Super Bowl would have Illuminati symbolism.The Illuminati is a secret society that serves as the basis for a popular conspiracy theory that alleges that many of the world's leaders and celebrities are masterminding world events.In the same blog post, Fawell said that the previous Super Bowl's halftime show, performed by Madonna, was satanic and influenced by the Illuminati. He also called Madonna a "narcissist skank with the crooked teeth."In an interview with CNN, Fawell stood by his blog posts and the theories he espoused on them. He said that Jay-Z and Beyonce expressed their support for the Illuminati in their videos, and that singer Taylor Swift had as well.In explaining his rationale that 7 World Trade Center didn't collapse on its own, he said, "There's no way that 1,500-degree jet fuel can melt steel that requires 2,500-degree temperatures to melt." The White House privately warned the mayors of 11 major U.S. cities on Wednesday that they need to take "aggressive" steps to control COVID-19 outbreaks, the Center for Public Integrity reports.The warning came from Dr. Deborah Birx, the response coordinator for the White House Coronavirus Task Force. In the call, which the Center for Public Integrity included "hundreds of emergency managers and other state and local leaders," she identified 11 cities that are seeing an increase in the percentage of positive COVID-19 tests they've taken in recent weeks. Those cities were Baltimore, Cleveland, Columbus, Indianapolis, Las Vegas, Miami, Minneapolis, Nashville, New Orleans, Pittsburgh and St. Louis.“When you first see that increase in test positivity, that is when to start the mitigation efforts,” she said in a recording obtained by Public Integrity. “I know it may look small and you may say, ‘That only went from 5 to 5-and-a-half [percent], and we’re gonna wait and see what happens.’ If you wait another three or four or even five days, you’ll start to see a dramatic increase in cases.”The Center for Public Integrity also published a seven-minute segment of the conference call.Public Integrity · Dr. Deborah Birx CallIt's unclear who provided the Center for Public Integrity with the recording, which was closed to the press. However, the meeting was canceled at the last minute over the constroversial protest.Kaepernick began kneeling for the national anthem during the 2016 preseason, saying he was hoping to bring attention to police brutality. He continued his protest through the 2016 season, and his contract with the 49ers was not extended following the season.Kaepernick has not played since the 2016, though he is still a free agent and can be signed by any team. In October, Kaepernick filed a grievance against the NFL alleging the owners colluded to blackball him from the league. The U.S. experienced its largest single-day increase in new COVID-19 cases on Thursday according to figures from Johns Hopkins University.Johns Hopkins public database reports that about 40,000 confirmed cases of the coronavirus were reported to local health departments on Thursday.
