PHOENIX — Arizona news station ABC15 has learned that an Arizona lawyer assisting the Trump campaign is looking at ballots filled out with Sharpies as one focus for what could become an attempt to flip Arizona to President Donald Trump.The attorney says many Trump supporters who used Sharpies are worried that their votes are being thrown out as the counting process continues around Arizona. There is no evidence at this point that Sharpie votes have been disqualified.The attorney, who has deep roots in the state’s election processing system, told ABC15’s Nicole Valdes that the Sharpie ballots are on the radar of those deciding what, if anything, they may do in court. ABC15 checked in with attorneys representing Democratic candidates, who say they have not heard of any potential litigation yet.Sharpie is the trademarked name of a permanent felt tip marker. Its use on Arizona ballots became a prominent conversation point on Twitter overnight.The Maricopa County Elections Department says even if marks made by Sharpies or any felt tip marker on a ballot bleed through the paper, it won't impact their tabulator's ability to read contests. Maricopa County's tabulators are designed only to read the ovals for each contest, according to county election officials. Even if ink bleeds through to the other side of the ballot, the ink won't mark another contest, since ballots are printed in an "off-set" pattern, meaning contests on the back side of the ballot don't align with those on the front.Republicans and the Trump campaign were shocked when Fox News declared Democrat Joe Biden the Arizona winner at about 9:30 p.m. on Election Day. Police have issued an Amber Alert after a 13-year-old girl was abducted outside her home in Lumberton, North Carolina, Monday morning.Hania Noelia Aguilar was at the Rosewood Mobile Home Park waiting for the rest of her family to come outside and drive to school when she was forced into a car just before 7 a.m. ET, the FBI and Lumberton Police Department say."A witness saw a male subject dressed in all black and wearing a yellow bandana force Hania into a relative's vehicle that was parked in the driveway," the FBI said in a statement."Hania is a Hispanic female, 5 feet tall, weighing approximately 126 pounds. She has black hair, and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a blue shirt with flowers and blue jeans," it said."Hania's mother asks whoever took her daughter to please bring her back home," the Lumberton Police Department said in a release posted to Facebook.It said Hania was driven away in a green, 2002 Ford Expedition with South Carolina license plate NWS-984. PARSIPPANY-TROY HILLS, N.J. – The smiling Black chef that’s been on Cream of Wheat packaging for decades is being removed.In a statement obtained by USA Today and The New York Times, B&G Foods said that research indicates the image of the Black man may be based on an actual Chicago chef named Frank White, but it’s being removed because “it reminds some consumers of earlier depictions they find offensive.”The removal comes after the company initiated a review of the packaging in June. (KGTV) -- A brush fire erupted in the north San Diego County community of Pauma Valley Tuesday afternoon, sending a plume of thick, white smoke into the atmosphere.The fire broke out on the 13800 block of Highway 76 near Pala Road northeast of Escondido around 2:50 p.m. According to Cal Fire, the flames have scorched at least 50 acres.Cal Fire sent an aircraft to help fight the fire. No structures were threatened in the fire. Winds in the area Tuesday could reach 14 miles per hour before winding down later this evening. The humidity, which is currently at 50 percent, should help firefighters fight the blaze. The fire is now 15 percent contained.  740
