A California man allegedly made a series of threats to Boston Globe employees in which he echoed President Trump's anti-press language.Robert D. Chain of Encino, California has been charged with one count of making threatening communications in interstate commerce, the US Attorney's Office for the District of Massachusetts said in a press release Thursday. I'm going to shoot you in the f***ing head later today, at 4 o'clock."In another call allegedly made on August 22, Chain was asked why he was calling. A Highlands County deputy has died after being shot in the head in Lake Placid on Sunday evening. Deputy William Gentry was responding to a neighborhood dispute involving a cat that allegedly had been shot by 69-year-old Joseph Edward Ables.The sheriff's office said Gentry went to speak to Ables when the suspect shot the deputy.Gentry was airlifted to Lee Memorial Hospital.“William is an experienced law enforcement officer and serves as one of our Field Training Deputies,” Sheriff Paul Blackman said. “His brother is one of our detectives. The group of marine scientists, archeologists, and historians went to work using science and advanced technology to find missing aircraft with servicemen still onboard."It's really easy to look on a map and say, 'hey, x marks the spot.'
