PUEBLO, Colo. — A white supremacist accused of plotting to bomb the Temple Emanuel synagogue in Pueblo last year pleaded guilty to federal hate crime and explosives charges Thursday morning, according to court documents.Richard Holzer pleaded guilty to charges on Thursday that he attempted to obstruct others from exercising religious beliefs through force and that he attempted to destroy a building used in "interstate commerce."Holzer was arrested Nov. 1, 2019, after he met up with three undercover FBI agents in an attempt to bomb Temple Emanuel in Pueblo, Colorado as part of what he called a "racial holy war" and to wipe the synagogue "off the map" in what the FBI said amounted to "domestic terrorism."An undercover agent began talking to Holzer on Facebook in September 2019 after investigators say he promoted white supremacy and violence on several accounts. Holzer pleaded not guilty in November 2019 to a three-count indictment submitted by a grand jury.Holzer's sentencing is set for Jan. 20. PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. – Florida has recorded its youngest death from COVID-19, a 9-year-old girl.Kimora Lynum died last Saturday in Putnam County, a community located between Jacksonville and Orlando.Her family says Kimmie had no underlying health conditions when she developed a very high fever.Relatives say Kimmie was taken to the hospital for treatment, but was sent home. The child collapsed a short time later and died after her heart failed.Her family has no idea how or where Kimmie contracted coronavirus. Her grief-stricken mother says the child was healthy, stayed home all summer and she had no contact with anyone who had COVID-19.The 9-year-old is the fifth child in Florida to die from the virus. More than 400,000 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the state, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University. 840

RANCHO PENASQUITOS -- A group of residents in Rancho Pe?asquitos is sounding the alarm about a trio of dense developments that could add 1,500 housing units within 1.5 miles of each other.The group, called PQ-NE Action, notes the northwest part of Rancho Pe?asquitos only has one road in and out. They are raising concerns that the road could not handle the influx in the case of an emergency, such as a wildfire evacuation. "We fully understand things are going to change, but not change to a point where the neighborhood becomes threatened from a safety standpoint," said Junaid Razvi, a 40-year resident and spokesman for the group. Meanwhile, Lennar is proposing to build more than 530 new housing units on the hotel's old golf course.PQ-NE Action is now calling on Councilman Mark Kersey to step in. Recorded by another driver Wednesday afternoon, a video shows two vehicles - a car and a minivan - heading down Kanner Highway in Stuart, Florida.We don't see what leads up to it, but the car appears to be driving slowly in front of the minivan - even jumping in front of the van when the driver tries to change lanes.The two cars get to the intersection of US 1 and Kanner.Almost immediately, three men get out and brawl in the middle of the busy road."Bystanders were involved trying to break them up, and the potential of those bystanders also getting hurt during this is increased," says Jeff Kittredge with the Stuart Police Department.Kittredge says the men in the car, Eric Gerstmann and Sean Gerstmann of Port Saint Lucie, drove away at the end the fight but were arrested just down the road."Not only are you putting yourself in danger, but you're also putting other motorists in danger with aggressive driving," he says. For many folks, it shows we still have a long way to go."A lot of people are fueled off of hate and anger, and not love and passion," says resident Victor Diodato."It just shows how little respect we have for each other," says resident Joseph Neuroth.
