SRINAGAR, India (AP) — A border clash high in the Himalayas between the world’s two most populated countries has claimed the lives of 20 Indian soldiers.It was the first deadly violence between China and India since the two nuclear armed neighbors faced off in a border dispute 45 year ago.Indian officials say the troops fought each other with fists and rocks along the high-altitude terrain before the two sides “disengaged” from the area where the fighting happened.Along with those killed, India said that about 17 of its soldiers were also critically injured. Several people were hurt in an "inmate-on-inmate" disturbance at CoreCivic's Red Rock Correctional Facility in Eloy, Arizona on Sunday morning.Twelve inmates were taken to outside medical facilities for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, and one staff member was treated and released for minor injuries sustained in the incident, according to Jonathan Burns, CoreCivic's Director of Public Affairs.Burns says the disturbance happened just after 8:30 a.m. local time.The facility has been secured and all inmates and staff are accounted for, Burns said. CoreCivic is working with the Arizona Department of Corrections and local law enforcement as they continue to investigate.   724

(KGTV) – A construction worker was struck by a vehicle and killed along state Route 94 in Spring Valley in a crash the California Highway Patrol said is DUI-related.The collision happened just before 10 p.m. Wednesday on westbound SR-94 near Cougar Canyon Drive, CHP officials said.According to the CHP, the stretch of roadway was “an active construction zone” with the westbound side coned off. A construction worker was directing traffic when a 1996 Lincoln Town Car entered the coned area and hit him, the CHP reported.The worker, identified only as a 27-year-old San Diego resident, was rushed to the hospital but died from his injuries.CHP officials said the Lincoln’s driver, 69-year-old San Diego resident Arnold Lee Patton, was arrested on suspicion of DUI and vehicular manslaughter.Patton was booked into County Jail for felony DUI causing injury or death and gross vehicular manslaughter, the CHP reported.The incident remains under investigation. 988
