NEW YORK (AP) — Martha Stewart's first Uber ride was not a good thing.Stewart ordered the "most expensive version" Monday outside Tiffany's flagship store in New York City. As Stewart explained on Instagram , she wanted to be picked up on Fifth Avenue and 57th Street.Stewart wrote the first car did not show up and the second parked "halfway down" the street where she "could not see the license plate." That car was pointed in the wrong direction, delaying her journey as the car snaked through midtown Manhattan traffic.But the worst part was the car "was a mess inside and out!!!!!!!!" The video has more than 150,000 views.But the owner of the restaurant where the incident took place said the video doesn't tell the whole story. “The lady in the video he actually did hit. She had blood on her face, she was bleeding," said Jane Thursfield, owner of Cactus Jack. Thursfield said Ortega provoked the fight when he punched Marcinkowski in the face after he was let go by the restaurant. Scripps station WFTX in Fort Myers could see no evidence of blood on Marcinkowski's face in the Facebook video. The owner said even if Marcinkowski was provoked, the racial comments were not OK. “No, no, of course not," Thursfield said. "No, we don’t condone that at all.”Other customers, like Johnny Samz, who said he regularly eats at Cactus Jack, agreed. “I don’t think it’s ever good, for anybody to use the N-word," said Samz. "I don’t care what the circumstances are.” WFTX's Jasmine Minor asked since Ortego no longer worked at the restaurant, if Marcinkowski would face the same fate. “She is still working here, yeah," said Thursfield. NEWMAN, Calif. (KGTV and AP) - Newman Police Chief Randy Richardson had tears in his eyes Thursday as he talked about the grief in his department over the loss of Corporal Ronil Singh. Singh, 33, was shot early Wednesday morning, a few minutes after radioing that he was pulling over a gray pickup truck that had no license plate in Newman, a town of about 10,000 people some 100 miles southeast of San Francisco. He died at a hospital. Singh was one of 12 Newman Police officers. “My department is hurting,” said Richardson at a morning news conference. “We’re not an agency; we’re a family.” Watch the news conference:The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department took over the investigation from Newman Police, releasing surveillance photos of a man seen at a convenience store just before Singh’s murder. A truck believed to have been the one stopped by Singh was later found in a garage in a mobile home park about 4 miles from the shooting, where law enforcement officers were serving a search warrant, The Modesto Bee reported.
