The drive to stamp out coronavirus has opened opportunities for companies that usually stamp out pests like roaches and rats. Exterminators are finding COVID control’s a growing new business.Businesses are getting more aggressive about keeping space for workers and customers sanitized and safe.Truly Nolen Pest Control realized it already had an effective COVID killer it had been using to clean up after rat infestations.Mark Ringlestetter with Truly Nolen says, “So at that point, we decided to build a program that would be good for sanitizing surfaces.”So Truly Nolen worked out procedures for a program called Truly Sanitized, developed training and pushed out a new product. Other pest control companies have gone into COVID control too.Right now Ringlestetter says Truly’s charging about two hundred dollars an hour.Ringlestetter says, “Let's take a call center for instance, and you go in and it's ready to go and then you know there's somebody there and you're doing desktops and wiping down keyboards and, you know, creating hard surfaces on chairs then it could go relatively quickly we're moving around a lot of things and we're doing a lot of prep work in advance that, then, that certainly would slow it down.”The product does not have a long term germ killing effect but Truly Nolen’s working on a process that will because even if COVID-19 doesn’t last our extra interest in sanitizing probably will.“I would imagine that it's changed everyone's perception of how, how to protect yourself even against things like the common, the common cold or even the flu. So I think you're going to see some behavioral changes and, and in the public and with the way they just go about things even, even during flu season.” KGUN's Craig Smith first reported this story. 1796

From California to South Carolina, a former Marine is riding is motorcycle across the country to raise money for Save the Brave.Major Scott Huesing is riding to honor his friend Dave White, a former Navy Veteran, who recently passed away from alcohol poisoning. When asked to give the eulogy at his friends funeral, Huesing want to do something more along the way. He's riding 4,600 miles round trip to raise money for Save the Brave, a nonprofit that's combating suicide and Post traumatic stress disorder among veterans and first responders."This pandemic has created a lot of fear for people and it’s isolated people," Huesing said. For veterans and people dealing with post traumatic stress, isolation is probably the worse thing for them. I think it’s probably the jump off point to where they reach hopelessness."According to a United States Department of Veterans Affairs Report, suicides are on the rise. In 2017, more than 45,000 Americans died from suicide and 6,130 of them were U.S. Veterans."I think right now people want to feel united around something and to be able to hop on my Harley and drive 4,600 miles round trip, I think that gives people a reason to come out and support," Huesing said. One of his first stops was in Tucson, but he's been riding ever since. You can follow his journey on Instagram. To donates to Save the Brave, go here. KGUN's Veronika Vernachio originally reported this story. 1439

He's long toyed with doing it, but rapper and fashion designer Kanye West appears to be making good on his promise to run for president. The multiplatinum Chicago native announced on Twitter Saturday that he's making good on what he said he'd do at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards and running for president in 2020. "We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future," West told his 29.3 million Twitter followers. "I am running for president of the United States!" We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States ????! #2020VISION— ye (@kanyewest) July 5, 2020 West has created controversy his entire career but only recently become somewhat of a political figure, previously supporting President Donald Trump. The two have gone from meeting with Trump in Manhattan during his transition to the presidency to complimentary tweets to working on prison reform alongside his wife, Kim Kardashian West. The rapper made no further details of his run, or whether this signified a turn against the president. There was no indication that this was a prank or a joke, though West has given no official statement on the potential run. This article was written by Stephen M. Lepore for WPIX. 1371

Every day millions of people are expecting a letter or package in the mail. The U.S. Postal Service has a feature that lets you see what’s coming to its customers' mailboxes and when — but it's allowed thieves to find ways to intercept valuable personal information.Informed Deliveryallows users to preview mail with digital images through email notifications, an online dashboard, or a mobile app.Users can sign up for Informed Delivery online or at any post office More than 13 million people have signed up for the service. However, the USPS says that in a few cases, people’s identities have been compromised. One woman in Palm Beach County, Florida who was granted anonymity for this story says it started with a simple walk to the mailbox. The woman first learned she was the victim of identity theft last Fall, and she claims scammers also tried stealing her mail last month.I She says she received a notification that she had signed up for Informed Delivery in her mailbox, even though she had never signed up for the service. Later, she received a Jet Blue credit card in the mail, for which she had also not signed up. She said she also received an alert from Bank of America about a second credit card that she had no knowledge of."Then, at that point, I said, 'OK, there’s something going on here,'" she said.USPS released this statement: In a very few cases, an individual’s identity has already been compromised by a criminal who then has used it to set up an Informed Delivery Account. "Then they are aware of when that credit card may be coming to your mailbox," the woman said.Luckily, she was able to intercept the credit card before the scammers did. Reporters referred the woman to the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, which is now investigating. The woman is now taking extra precautions, actively monitoring all her accounts, and she installed a new mailbox with a lock inside."You helped to put me in touch with somebody who I felt really cared about what’s going on, because this is a serious matter. It’s really bad,” she said.Creating a fraudulent account is illegal.Customers have two options to report a potentially fraudulent Informed Delivery account (or block your address): 2233
