SANTEE (CNS) - A dispute between a 50-year-old man and his 49-year-old sister at an East County trailer park escalated Tuesday into a stabbing that sent the woman to a hospital and left her brother under arrest, authorities reported.The assault in the 8700 block of North Magnolia Avenue in Santee was reported shortly before 6 a.m., according to sheriff's officials.Medics took the victim to a trauma center for treatment of non-life-threatening cuts to her face, Lt. Chris Steffen said.Deputies found the 6-foot-tall, 230-pound suspect, identified as Joseph Bodenstadt, on Mission Gorge Road and took him into custody.Bodenstadt was booked into San Diego Central Jail on suspicion of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated mayhem and resisting law enforcement personnel.The reason for the latter charge and the motive for the alleged assault were not immediately clear.The suspect was being held without bail pending arraignment, scheduled for Monday afternoon. 991

Scooter company Lime is recalling one of its models from every city after realizing it could break apart while in use. The company says the model occasionally breaks "when subject to repeated abuse."The scooters were manufactured by a Chinese company called Okai, according to a Washington Post interview with Lime representatives. The Washington Post said it could not get in touch with Okai for comment.Lime plans to decommission any Okai scooters in its fleets.Those who experience the breaking scooter are typically leaving them where they break, and it has been difficult for the company to tally how many have broken, the Washington Post reports.This recall follows one issued a couple months ago stating some Lime scooters could catch fire. That recall of 2,000 scooters said some have batteries that smoldered and sometimes caught fire.The recall had a small impact in Lime's west coast markets. 911

(KGTV) - A 3-month-old golden retriever puppy with a price tag of ,700 was stolen from a pet shop Thursday night in Santee.That’s according to Sharon Franco, the owner of Pups and Pets, who has surveillance video of an unidentified man grabbing the dog while in a play-pen and running out the front door.The man had been in the store earlier but came back a second time and asked to play with the golden retriever puppy, said Franco.He played with it for about 5 minutes before he picked it up and ran out of the store.Two employees tried to run after him but said a car was waiting outside. (KGTV) -- Cell phone video reportedly taken Wednesday morning shows San Diego County Sheriff's deputies at a San Marcos home that's been at the center of an ongoing battle. When Team10 arrived, there was an eviction resolution notice taped to a window on the property. Neighbors tell us that they're thrilled the eviction process is finally underway. This is a story that Team10 has been following since May - when we spoke with a local hopeful home buyer, John Masnica. He says Julie Frisino and her family unlawfully moved into the house while Masnica was in the process of closing escrow on the bank-owned foreclosure. Wednesday, he told us, "She's just a deadbeat from a family of deadbeats that take advantage of the system." He went on to say, "I hope that now that they're out of this house that there aren't any other available houses for them to try to break into."Frisino took the situation to court, claiming she had rights to be there. This summer, a judge said the bank trustee, not Frisino, had rights to the home.Masnica and his wife are due with their fourth child.
