BEIJING, June 15 (Xinhua) -- Top Chinese security official Meng Jianzhu and First Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Rustam Azimov agreed to expand trade and economic cooperation under the framework of the "Belt initiatives" on Monday.
The two sides have exchanged initial negative list offers, which outline sectors that are closed to foreign investment, at their latest round of talks in Beijing earlier this month, which ushered in a new phase of bilateral negotiations.
According to Wang Chao, China and Belgium will sign cooperation deals on finance, telecommunication, technology and education after the talks between Li and Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel. This is also the first meeting between the two heads of government since the new Belgian government took office last October.
Earlier in the day, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Schetyna co-hosted the first plenary session of the China-Poland Intergovernmental Cooperation Committee.
The meeting came before the seventh summit of BRICS, an emerging-market bloc that consists of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, and the 15th Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit.
