SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – The San Diego Humane Society is asking for the public’s help in finding the person responsible for seriously injuring a little dog.On Aug. 5, at around 5:30 p.m., a passerby found a severely injured Chihuahua in an alley near 339 S. 39th Street in San Diego’s Mountain View area.Humane Society officials said the one-year-old dog is in critical but stable condition “with a guarded prognosis” and is being cared for at the Humane Society’s Pilar & Chuck Bahde Center for Shelter Medicine.Details on the dog's injuries were not released.San Diego Humane Society Humane Law Enforcement Chief Bill Ganley said, “We are hoping someone might recognize this dog and can help us find the person who did this. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — The San Diego Board of Supervisors announced Monday that the county will close bars without a license to sell food ahead of the July 4 weekend in an effort to slow rising coronavirus cases.San Diego Supervisor Nathan Fletcher said the county will close all bars, wineries, and breweries that do not have a license to serve food. California took a similar stance with several counties over the weekend."Bars are purely social settings where different people and groups often mix. It's a simple reality that alcohol consumption impairs judgment and may lead to less compliance with physical distancing guidelines," Fletcher said. "People often spend more time in a bar than other establishments like a restaurant for eating."RELATED: Gov. Of those, two outbreaks were traced back to restaurants/bars. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The San Diego International Airport expects an increase in travelers during the upcoming holiday season, even as cases of coronavirus surge in San Diego."We have seen an increase (in the past)," says Airport Spokesperson Nicole Hall. "So we are planning for that. We have additional flights leaving San Diego and anticipate an increase in the travel during that time."When the pandemic started, passenger travel at the San Diego International Airport dropped more than 90%. It has since recovered a bit. Airport officials say they're now down 67% from last year.With more people expected to fly over the holidays, the airport has increased it's efforts to make sure everyone who passes through it stays safe.They are requiring masks for every person in the airport. Signs shaped like surfboards help mark 6-foot social distancing requirements on the floor. Seats are marked as "off-limits." Plexiglass dividers line ticket counters and concession areas.
