When her family saw it they said it is time for adults to be held accountable. The principal says he was called by a teacher to help with disruptive students. Because she is a minor we are withholding her identity, but the student recording admits she interrupted class by talking with a friend. She says the principal then overreacted. He can be held yelling at the students to shut up and to go to another school if they don’t like it. He calls one student a big mouth. “I was scared. One girl was crying, because he has two faces, one for the parents and for us,” said the student. “I cannot imagine watching a teacher treat my children this way,” said Kaytlyn Dell, who is the student’s older sister. She is speaking for her parents because they do not speak English. “Kids are screaming. Teachers are screaming. There is no structure,” said Dell. “Anything short of treating children with dignity and respect, parents, colleagues, administrators, is unacceptable. So anytime that is compromised we take that very seriously and address the matter swiftly,” said Michael Conran, Superintendent of Global Education Excellence Schools, which runs several charter schools. A New Jersey woman faces four years in state prison for her role in scamming more than 0,000 from GoFundMe donors, claiming to be collecting money for a homeless man in Philadelphia.Katelyn McClure, 29, pleaded guilty to one count of theft by deception in the second degree Monday in Burlington County, New Jersey.In the viral story from 2017 that made national headlines, New Jersey resident McClure ran out of gas and was stranded on Interstate 95 in Philadelphia. The homeless man, Johnny Bobbitt Jr., supposedly saw her and gave her his last for gas.McClure and her then-boyfriend, Mark D'Amico, posted about the "good deed" on social media, including a picture of her with Bobbitt on a highway ramp. They also started a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for the homeless man, saying they wanted to pay it forward to the good Samaritan and get him off the streets.Bobbitt pleaded guilty at the local level to one count of conspiracy to commit theft by deception last Friday. He faces a five-year special probation period that requires him to enter the state Superior Court drug court program, in which he'll be expected to get a job and adhere to a structured regimen of treatment and recovery services. A University of North Carolina study warns against the use of THC or CBD by women who are in the early stages of pregnancy. The study, which was published this week, tested the use of both synthetic and natural cannabinoids on mice. The results found that one-time exposure to cannabinoids early in a pregnancy can cause growth issues in a developing embryo. UNC said that this was the first time a study of this kind has been performed on mammals. Researchers said that they found the effects of CBD and THC are potentially very similar to what is seen in fetal alcohol syndrome. The researchers added that cannabinoid use disrupted signaling between molecules and cells that control growth and development. Researchers believe the results on mouse fetuses would be similar to human fetuses.“The development of the embryo in this time period is very similar across all vertebrates,” said Scott Parnell, a member of the UNC Bowles Center for Alcohol Studies. “In this study we also test a synthetic cannabinoid in zebrafish that yielded similar growth deformations as the natural CBs. Having the same results across animal models reinforces our findings.”The researchers administered enough CBD that is considered a therapeutic range for humans.
