Then, the mayor and her police bodyguard head off to the back side of the cemetery alone.And the security video shows the pair left on one occasion after just 12 minutes.In other cases, it's as long as 24 minutes.So what were they doing there?The mayor's spokesperson, Sean Braisted, said Barry "finds it to be a peaceful place to start her day."He added, "Sometimes she would go for a walk, other times she would sit in the car and either reflect, make calls, catch up on emails, or report issues with vandalism in the cemetery."Braisted provided a photo of a tomb that had been partially disturbed that, he said, Barry had provided to city officials.Metro Council member Steve Glover said his only concern for the taxpayers."What is relevant is if the taxpayers are paying for an officer who should not be drawing overtime for frivolous things, and I'm going to call them frivolous," Glover said. In every case documented by WTVF, payroll records show Forrest was on the clock.And in all but one case, he ended up charging taxpayers later that day for overtime -- sometimes late into the night.Glover questioned why Forrest couldn't have split the work with other officers assigned to the mayor's security detail -- so that no one had to work overtime."That makes no sense to me," Glover said. MALIBU (CNS) - Santa Ana winds were expected to continue to plague firefighters battling the deadly Woolsey Fire in Los Angeles and Ventura counties Tuesday as officials re-emphasized to evacuated residents that they must stay away until the area has been declared safe.Winds of 25 to 35 mph were forecast to blow with gusts of 40 to 45 mph, National Weather Service Meteorologist Joe Sirard said. Those wind speeds are likely to drop to 25 to 30 mph Tuesday night into Wednesday with gusts to 40 mph.That prompted the NWS to continue its Red Flag Warning through 5 p.m. Wednesday for the Woolsey Fire area in Los Angeles and Ventura counties -- except Malibu, where the Red Flag Warning is set to expire at 5 p.m Tuesday. High temperatures of 70s to low 80s are predicted through Wednesday with lows near freezing ``in wind-sheltered areas,'' Sirard said.The latest Woolsey Fire update from Cal Fire had at least 435 structures destroyed, 24 structures damaged and the estimated number of structures still threatened about 57,000.The blaze has burned about 93,700 acres and was 30 percent contained, with full containment not expected until Thursday, Cal Fire said. The two people who died were found inside a burned vehicle in a long driveway in the 33000 block of Mulholland Highway.``It's the feeling of homicide detectives that the driver became disoriented and the vehicle was overwhelmed by the fire,'' sheriff's Chief John Benedict said.Three firefighters have been injured battling the Woolsey Fire. Millions of Californians could face energy blackouts this week amid a historic heatwave — a situation described by energy officials as a "perfect storm."According to The Weather Channel, parts of California and the southwestern U.S. are in the midst of a heatwave that is pushing temperatures to, in some cases, 15 degrees above average. According to Weather Channel forecasts, the heatwave could stick around through the end of the workweek.The heatwave may have also produced one of the highest temperatures ever recorded on the planet Earth — a temperature reading from Death Valley on Sunday was recorded at 130 degrees, though it still needs to be verified by meteorologists.The high temperatures caused the California Independent System Operator (CAISO) to issue a State 3 emergency last Friday and Saturday — the first time the agency had done so in about 20 years.The decision led to some blackouts throughout the state over the weekend, prompting an angry response from Gov. Gavin Newsome."These blackouts, which occurred without warning or enough time for preparation, are unacceptable and unbefitting of the nation's largest and most innovative state," Newsom wrote in a letter to CAISO and other California energy agencies.The agency has warned that if the heatwave persists, it may need to continue rotating blackouts to millions of homes and businesses throughout the week to certain sections of the power grid to prevent overtaxing the system.CAISO has issued a Flex Alert throughout the state that is currently in effect until Wednesday.
