"It was big, really big," said Schultz, who captured images of the alligator. "I was totally in panic. When I saw the alligator I was scared."Schultz said she’s lived in Marlwood Estates for three years and has only seen a gator there once before. She said the an alligator was spotted in a lake last year behind her property.Schultz, a mother of three, thinks the gator in the pool was likely 9 feet long and over 300 pounds."It totally concerns me. So now I’m scared and I don’t want to leave my kids outside playing in the backyard," said Schultz. "I also need to check the pool and check before going outside the house."The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said the gator was 9 feet long, and was relocated to a farm."It concerns me. ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. — At least seven people were killed and several others injured in a fiery crash on Interstate 75 near Gainesville on Thursday.According to Alachua County Fire Rescue, the crash occurred at 3:42 p.m. on I-75 near mile marker 393 north of Northwest 39th Avenue. Florida Highway Patrol says that the crash involved two tractor-trailers, a passenger van and a mid-size four-door sedan. The two tractor-trailers were close together and caught on fire. The passenger van was also involved in the fire.Six fatalities were initially reported on scene, one additional fatality was reported by 8 p.m. Thursday. Additionally, at least seven patients were transported to area hospitals from the scene, multiple patients with critical injuries. The fire was put out around 5:15 p.m. Thursday. Fire officials say that 50 gallons of diesel fuel spilled as a result of the crash.ACFR's UAV team and ASO's AIR 1 helicopter responded to the scene to help with locating possible patients that may have been ejected during the crash. Southbound I-75 was shut down in the area for extensive periods on Thursday, and could remained closed through the morning commute on Friday. There is a significant amount of damage to the road due to the fire. The road will be closed for several more hours. All northbound lanes of I-75 reopened at 8 p.m. Thursday.The UF Health emergency response mass casualty plan was activated at approximately 4:25 p.m. due to the accident. Accused bank robbers and deputies in Richland County, South Carolina engaged in a shootout following a car chase last Friday. According to the Richland County Sheriff's Department, the three male suspects entered a bank wearing masks and carrying guns and demanded money. As the suspects fled, a vehicle description was given to deputies who attempted to pull the vehicle over. One of the suspects drove the car into a dead end where they got out of the vehicle and shot at deputies. One of the deputies, Captain Chris Duke, shot one of the suspects in the lower body.The suspects then got into a second vehicle and fled. That chase came to and end with a collision, and all three suspects were arrested. Deputies arrested Devanta Boyd, Devin Mincey and Daniel Williams. They will be charged with two counts of attempted murder and bank robbery, the Richland County Sheriff's Department said.None of the deputies involved were injured. 949

A woman was arrested in Crossville, Tennessee, after allegedly riding an electric shopping scooter from Walmart to Waffle House. Crossville police said 45-year-old Sally Selby was charged with theft after officers pulled her over driving in the slow lane on Main Street. She claimed she got the cart from Walmart and was driving it to Waffle House to get a cup of coffee.Selby told police she had built the cart and someone had ripped the lights off of it. Walmart employees confirmed the cart belonged to them. Investigators said surveillance video showed her enter the store and began shopping with the scooter. She then exited and drove through the parking lot, police said. The scooter was later returned to the store. 736
