Some may call this story a coincidence but this Corpus Christi, Texas couple calls it fate.Turns out they were both born on the same day, delivered by the same doctor all while at the same hospital.It was at Bay Area hospital almost 23 years ago that the special deliveries took place.Sierra Molina and Marcus Acuna’s love story is hard to believe but it’s true. Now, this couple wants to make their wedding day just as special as their love story.It was while the two were getting to know each other they learned this love connection was meant to be. That’s because the couple was born on the same day, in the same hospital.“I went and asked my mom. And she was like why what’s wrong? Well, the girl I’m talking to has the same birthday as me. She goes, really? And I go yes. It’s weird,” said Sierra Molina’s fiancee Marcus Acuna. Then they were delivered by the same doctor.“So when our parents told us we were like oh that’s cool let’s pull out the birth certificate and we saw it on there,” said Bride to be Sierra Molina.“It was divinely a shock to find out that there is somebody out there that has the same birthday as me and lives in the same town as me for years as long as we’ve been here,” said Acuna.Their love continued to grow and on Christmas Day in December of 2019, the two got engaged.“When I realized I wanted to marry her, I was like you know, it’s something that I want to do and this makes me happy and she makes me happy,” said Acuna.Since their story is so special the wedding date they chose will be as well.“Now that we are going to have our wedding on our birthday on August 23rd when we turn 23 like that’s so special like this date whether it’s during corona or not we know we wanted to have this date,” said Molina.If you are second-guessing getting married during a pandemic, the couple has some advice for you.“Just do it. It’s not about how big it is or how small it is, if it’s in a backyard, ya know just anything. SOLANA BEACH, Calif. (KGTV) - A small business landlord is giving his tenants some much-needed relief during the Coronavirus Pandemic. He's waived rent for April."Business is difficult in good times. It's especially difficult in bad times," says Daniel Powell, who is the landlord for 17 small businesses in the popular Arts District along South Cedros Avenue. "I think that what we can do together is more than we can do apart."Powell says he felt it was the "right" thing to do. His tenants say it's a reflection of the kind of person he is."His generosity and his action reminded me of what this is all about," says Carly Blalock, the owner of an interior design firm in Solana Beach. "It's about taking care of one another right now.""I have huge gratitude for him," says art dealer Lorna York. "I didn't know how I'd make it, and how I'd pay my rent. I have no income."Powell says he hasn't thought about May rent yet. He also added he didn't do this to pressure other landlords. He feels everyone needs to do what's best for themselves and their tenants."I just think that it's all about being as true to yourself as you can," he says. "And doing acts of kindness. Seventeen days after voters went to the polls in Ohio's 12th congressional district, Republican Troy Balderson hung on by a 1,680-vote margin to win the seat over insurgent Democrat Danny O'Connor.The seat, previously held by Pat Tiberi, and before that current Ohio Gov. John Kasich, has been held by Republicans since 1983. The district has not seen a competitive race since then, as both Kasich and Tiberi typically won every two years by comfortable margins. But the district, which includes parts of Columbus' affluent northern suburbs, rapidly urbanizing Delaware County to Columbus' north, as well as several surrounding rural counties, became competitive after Tiberi announced his retirement. Polls leading up to the Aug. 7 battle showed a dead heat. On election night, Balderson held a nearly 1,500-vote advantage. O'Connor announced that he would wait on all absentee and provisional ballots to be counted before conceding. All of those votes have now been counted as of Friday. “I just called Troy Balderson to congratulate him on his victory in the 12th Congressional district special election," O'Connor said in a statement. "I want to express my deepest thanks to my campaign staff, our volunteers, and to everyone who cast a vote in the special election, whether it was for me or not."Balderson also issued a response on Friday. "Danny O'Connor ran a hard-fought race," he said, "but I look forward to earning the support of voters for a fourth time in November as I share my track record of getting things done for Ohioans."While both were gracious to each other on Friday, the affinity for each other will almost certainly be short lived. Both O'Connor and Balderson also are on the ballot in November. And with control of the House of Representatives hanging in the balance in November, there is no reason to believe that either candidate will let up on the attacks on each other from the special election. Democrats will need to gain 25 seats in order to flip the House for the first time since 2010. According to Cook Political Report, there are 30 toss-up seats up for grabs, with 28 of them currently being held by Republicans. It helps erase the pain from her past.“It feels really good, but it hurts really bad,” she said.Tattoo cover-up sessions like these are organized and paid for by Atlanta Redemption Ink, a nonprofit started by Jessica Lamb.“We work with sex trafficking survivors, former gang members, former self harmers and individuals that are in recovery that have marks from addiction,” Lamb said.Since 2017, Atlanta Redemption Ink has helped hundreds of people cover up marks from their past.Tattoo artists like Crystal Boyd of Pur Ink Tattoos in Alpharetta, Georgia, open their doors and donate their time and talent to become part of this healing process.“It definitely weighs on me,” Boyd said of the tattoo cover-up experiences. “A lot of them do open up and talk to me while I’m tattooing them and it’s hard not to cry.”Many of these recipients say fresh ink gives them a fresh start at life.“I feel like a brand new person not branded with somebody’s name on me,” said the tattoo coverup recipient.With her body once branded with her pimp’s name tattooed across her chest and “Cash Only” written on wrists, this sex trafficking survivor is now confident that these cover-ups will help open up a better life.“That’s me and my son” she said, while pointing out a recent cover-up. “And I got like the universe because he’s like my world; my universe.”She says before Atlanta Redemption Ink, she thought there were only two ways to get out of the sex trafficking industry: jail or deathShe says these new tattoos have given her a new life with a new goal.“I’m going to help girl like me somehow,” she said. “I don’t know how but one day I will.”To donate click here. 1911
