(KGTV) - A pursuit that ended at a South Bay apartment complex Thursday led to the arrest of a suspect inside a home.Robert Perez, 26, was seen leaving the scene of a domestic violence incident at a Lemon Grove apartment complex at 10:30 a.m., San Diego County Sheriff's deputies said.Deputies tried to pull over Perez as he drove away but he refused to stop, said officials. Perez began driving more than 100 miles an hour on freeways including SR-94 and SR-54, according to deputies.Perez parked his car in a carport at 2920 Briarwood Road and ran to an apartment on Plaza Mercia in Bonita. Deputies said Perez initially kept the resident of the apartment from leaving, but the person eventually ran outside.Perez was taken into custody inside the apartment. No one was hurt.Deputies did not release details about the domestic violence incident. 875

BEL AIR, Md  - Crews found the cause of a car fire to be a bit squirrelly...literally.Officials with the Bel Air, Maryland Volunteer Fire Company say they extinguished a car fire last Monday in the 1500 block of Rock Spring Road. Upon putting out the flames, firefighters discovered squirrel and nesting debris in the engine compartment.The incident was captured on video by the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company. 438

Bayer announced on Thursday a voluntary recall of Alka-Seltzer Plus products sold after February 9, 2018 at retailers nationwide.The affected products can be identified by checking the Bayer logo located on the lower left corner of the front of the carton. If the logo has an orange or green background, the product is included in the recall.The products were sold in the U.S. at Walmart, CVS, Walgreens and Kroger (including Dillons Food Stores, Fred Meyer, Fry's Food Stores, Ralphs, King Soopers and Smith's Food and Drug)."The ingredients listed on the front sticker of the carton may potentially be different from the ingredients listed on the back of the carton," Bayer said in a statement. "This may lead consumers to ingest a product to which they may have an allergy or anaphylactic reaction, an ingredient which may be contraindicated for their medical condition or they intend to otherwise avoid. There may be potential for serious health consequences. BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- A Bloomington, Ind. man is accused of holding a toddler under hot water as a punishment after the child soiled his diaper, causing severe burns.The investigation began on November 24, after the 2-year-old boy was transported to Riley Hospital for Children to be treated for multiple severe burns and other injuries.According to court documents, Dennis Tannen, 29, was watching his girlfriend’s son while she was at work when the child was burned.Tannen initially told police that he had put the child in the bathtub and left him for “10 seconds” and when he came back the child had turned on the hot water, burning himself.The child's mother said Tannen called her and she rushed home and found him “outside smoking a cigarette.” She told police that her son had large burn marks on his face that looked like his skin was falling off when she first saw him. They took the child to IU Bloomington Hospital where he was later transported to Riley Hospital for Children.The child was treated for severe burns on his face, lips, buttocks, and genitals. Riley doctors told police that the child also had suspicious bruising on his chest and face and that the child’s injuries did not match up the couple's story. After multiple rounds of questioning, Tannen eventually admitted to police that he was waiting for a phone call when the toddler had a bowel movement in his diaper. He said he became agitated and went to wash the child off in the bathtub, turning the water on “full hot” and holding him under it to wash him off.Tannen told police he also put the child’s face under the same hot water to wash and that the child had slipped when he was holding him and he grabbed him, which caused the bruises on the child’s chest.Tannen was arrested and charged with felony neglect of a dependent. 1833
