SINGAPORE, Aug. 2 (Xinhua) -- Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Thursday that the declaration of an end to the Korean War is in line with the trend of the times.
Hua made the remarks when asked to comment on a recent speech given by Christopher Ford, the U.S. Assistant Secretary for International Security and NoNPRoliferation. Ford reportedly openly claimed in the speech that China intended to evade U.S. export control policies, legally or illegally acquire advanced U.S. technology through civil nuclear cooperation, and was dedicated to using military-civil fusion approach for military purposes and great-power competition.
In the past five years, the system has helped rescue more than 10,000 fishermen. More than 40,000 fishing vessels and around 4.8 million commercial vehicles in China have been equipped with Beidou, said Beidou spokesperson Ran Chengqi.
Tian Jinchen, vice governor of Qinghai, told the same briefing that the province had witnessed an increase in its green coverage, water resources, area of wetland ecosystem, biodiversity and herdsmen's income over the years, while its desert has been dwindling.
"In response to the trend of the times, China's active opening-up move is conducive to not only itself but also the whole world," the NDRC said.
