HANOI, Aug. 28 (Xinhua) -- The Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee General Secretary Nong Duc Manh met with a Communist Party of China (CPC) delegation here on Friday.     The Chinese delegation is headed by He Yong, member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee and deputy secretary of CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.     During the meeting, Manh said Vietnamese party, government and people treasure the friendship with China. He said developing the Vietnam-China friendly relations serves the common interests and aspirations of the two peoples.     Manh said Vietnam would like to work together with China to enhance support for each other, deepen friendly cooperation of the two parties and two countries, and advance the bilateral comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership in a healthy and steady manner.     Manh said Vietnam is pleased to see that China has overcome various difficulties and challenges brought by the global financial crisis and achieved stable and relatively fast economic growth. Vietnam would like to share with China the experiences of dealing with global financial crisis as well as those of the reform and open-up causes.     For his part, He said in the past few years, China and Vietnam have seen frequent visits of high-level officials, strengthened mutual political trust, great outcomes on economic and trade cooperation and deepened exchanges of experiences in governing the party and the nation.     He said the two parties have also witnessed increased exchanges and cooperation in discipline inspection and fighting corruption.     He said China and Vietnam will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of diplomatic ties next year and at the same time embrace the Year of Friendship. BEIJING, Aug. 4 (Xinhua) -- Salary increases for executives of state-owned enterprises (SOE) should be in line with those for employees, Hu Xiaoyi, China's Vice Minister of Human Resources and Social Security, said Tuesday.     Hu said that the government was formulating a document to regulate more effectively SOE executives' salary plans, and the document would be released in the near future.     "The disparity between executives' and employees' salary rises should not be alarmingly large," Hu said, noting long-term incentives as well short-term incentives should be used for SOE executives.     The State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission is responsible for the regulation of 136 centrally-administered SOEs.

BEIJING, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) -- The General Office of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and the General Office of the State Council issued a collection of slogans Friday for the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.     The collection of 50 catchphrases touches upon issues of political system, economic development, environmental protection, military modernization and national unification.     On the top of the slogan list are "Warmly celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China!" and "Hail the great success of our country's reform and opening-up and socialist modernization!"     Also on the list are "Put people first, realize, safeguard and develop the fundamental interests of the overwhelming majority of the people!" and "build a socialist harmonious society and promote social equity and justice!"     One of the slogans also advocates the inheritance of fine military tradition that the armed forces should obey the command of the Party and serve the people.     Slogans also include "Adhere to the one China policy and promote the country's great cause of peaceful reunification!" and "Adhere to the independent foreign policy of peace and unswervingly pursue the road of peaceful development!" and "Long live the great unity of all nationalities of China!"     China has planned massive celebrations for the 60th founding anniversary of the people's republic on Oct. 1. The celebrations in downtown Beijing will feature a mass pageant and a military review.

BEIJING, July 31 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Zhijun summoned Australian Ambassador to China Geoff Raby and lodged a solemn representation to the Australian side on its allowing Rebiya Kadeer, leader of the separatist World Uygur Congress (WUC), to visit Australia.Zhang expressed China's strong dissatisfaction and firm opposition to the Australian side on its allowing the visit, a press release of the Foreign Ministry said.     Zhang demanded it immediately correct its wrong doings and do not allow Kadeer to visit Australia and engage in anti-China separatist activities in the territory of Australia, the ministry said.     The WUC led by Kadeer is believed to have masterminded the July 5 Xinjiang riots that left at least 197 people dead and 1,600 others injured
