Dr. Sean Conley, President Donald Trump’s physician, said on Monday that Trump has tested negative for the coronavirus on consecutive days.As Conley’s statement was released to the media on Monday, Trump was setting off for a Florida rally, marking his first voyage out of the White House since returning to the complex last Monday following a three-day stay Walter Reed Medical Center.Previously, Conley said that Trump was no longer infectious, but would not confirm if Trump had tested negative.Meanwhile, White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows dodged questions earlier on Monday on whether Trump had tested negative. Trump held his first public event since his coronavirus infection on Saturday, speaking to hundreds of supporters from the White House balcony.The CDC says that for most coronavirus patients, they are no longer contagious after 10 days, but the isolation period may need to be extended to 20 days depending on the severity of the infection. EL CAJON (CNS) - A man who drove drunk and at high speed down a curving Campo roadway, causing a crash that killed his two passengers, was convicted Wednesday of second-degree murder and other charges.Ryan Renz, 26, faces up to 30 years to life behind bars when he is sentenced Dec. 20 for the Jan. 25, 2017, crash that killed his friends, 23-year- old Johnny Ray Meyer Jr. and 26-year-old Dillon Cody Wiltfong.Prosecutors said Renz -- who was on probation and driving on a suspended license due to a prior DUI conviction -- was drunk when he crashed Wiltfong's Volkswagen Jetta into a tree on Buckman Springs Road, near Lake Morena Drive, in the evening hours of Jan. 25.RELATED: Campo crash leaves two dead, driver facing chargesOne of the victims was ejected and the other was trapped inside the vehicle. Renz suffered minor injuries.Deputy District Attorney Laura Evans said Renz and the victims drank throughout the afternoon of Jan. 25 before the defendant got behind the wheel and drove somewhere between 85 to 96 mph down Buckman Springs Road, then crashed the Jetta into an oak tree. The passenger's side of the sedan -- where both Meyer and Wiltfong were sitting -- took the brunt of the crash, according to the prosecutor.Evans said the high speed of the Jetta caught the attention of Border Patrol officers stationed near the scene, some of whom pursued the sedan, but were unable to stop it before the crash. "Who in our society in the year 2020-2021 balances her family life and her work life."Biden is an English professor at Northern Virginia Community College. Even though the pandemic has brought new challenges to teaching, she says she will continue her full-time job as an educator while standing alongside her husband in the White House next year.“She has said on many occasions ‘being a teacher isn’t what I do, it’s who I am,'” Jellison said.Kim Churches is the CEO of American Association for University Women. AAUW is an organization that works to advance gender equity for women and girls.“By seeing that Dr. Jill Biden is not only passionate about being a teacher, but really embraces it as part of her whole self, will really change the way that we think about women’s roles in all of society,” Churches said.Churches says Dr. Jill Biden is serving as a prime role model for young girls who want to create and sustain change.“For 231 years, we have seen a first lady as stepping back behind the president – her husband – in all of these roles," Churches said. For the past few decades, Jellison says there’s been less focus on appearance, and more focus on substance like the professional strides she takes and her influence on politics.“Someone like an Eleanor Roosevelt, a Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama have been real players in terms of advising their husbands on policies and also being major players in their own right," Jellison said. "Going out and championing important causes.”Considering Dr. Biden is an educator and a mother, Churches says she’s optimistic about her time in office.“I really hope that as Dr. Biden embarks on working and on her bold agenda as first lady, that we can also begin to center the incredible need for care giving and valuing caregiving in our nation," Churches said, "Flexible work schedules – look, women make up half the labor force, but many of them are having to choose between family or paychecks right now because of all the uncertainties the COVID pandemic has laid bare.”Whether working a full-time job or not, both Jellison and Churches say they would like to see first ladies in the future given more freedom to be themselves. 3230
