SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A 55-year-old man was arrested Friday after hitting a 19-year-old with his car following a drunken argument, San Diego Police say.According to police, the suspect, Fernando Chavez Lopez, 55, got into an argument with a 19-year-old man before 11 a.m. Friday. Lopez was reportedly drunk at the time of the dispute. After the argument ended, police say Lopez went looking for the victim, locating him crossing the street at an intersection on the 3100 block on National Avenue.Police say the suspect deliberately drove his vehicle into the victim, hitting him before taking off when police were called.Ten minutes later, officers found the suspect driving on the 1100 block of Sicard Street. He was detained and later positively identified by witnesses, police say.The victim sustained minor scrapes and bruises and was taken to the hospital.Lopez was arrested and booked into jail, police say. 919

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) --  It was a normal Thursday night for Rob Perelman. His Uber app was on and he was picking up passengers in San Diego. Then suddenly, things changed and his passengers got violent. You may have seen the video by now - a car crashing in Banker's Hill after the passengers began violently beating the driver.RELATED: Uber driver attacked by drunk passengersFriday, Perelman spoke for the first time about his early-morning attack. He told 10News what happened Friday morning isn't an Uber problem - they were just bad apples. "I've done 4,999 rides with good people," Perelman said. "And one with a bad person."Perelman gave that bad ride sometime after 1:00 a.m. Friday. He picked up the passengers in Banker's Hill and almost immediately realized they were drunk. "My gut feeling said to drive away," he said. "But I'm here to give people rides home, and I said you know what, 'we've all been the drunk guy just trying to get home from the bar, let me give these guys a ride home.'"MAP: Track crime happening in your neighborhoodHe only made it two blocks. "The guy in the back seat starts puking out the window...and if he can't make it two blocks, he's definitely not going to make it 10 minutes," Perelman said. So he pulled over and asked the two to get out of his car. He told 10News that he even tried opening the door for one of them."Still nothing happening, so I say a third time, 'get out of the vehicle or I'm calling 911,'" Perelman said. That's when things got dangerous, and the passenger next to him attacked with a fury of punches."And he's not stopping, he's just beyond the point now," Perelman said. "Probably doesn't know what he's doing, just starts throwing punches at my head, I can't get him to stop. I've got my glasses on, he knocks my glasses off."Perelman says he was left with two options. Take the beating or jump out of the car. He took option two, jumping out of the car while it was still in drive and running to a nearby house to call the police.After the car crashed, the passengers seemed to have a moment of clarity and took off. Perelman says he left behind a shoe, a cell phone and ,000 dollars in damages to his car.Even though he had a bad experience, Perelman says he just wants to get back on the road. "I'm just happy that I was able to get out safely and I've got a few bruises on my head, but I was able to walk away, so I'm lucky that it didn't escalate," Perelman said. "I don't know if he has a gun or knife, I just said let me get out of the car I don't care about the vehicle right now."Since Uber knows who the men are, the plan now is to find them and press charges.10News reached out to Uber about the attack. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A desperate Mira Mesa mother is pleading for tips after her teenage daughter disappeared, leaving behind a trail of disturbing clues.November 8th seemed like an ordinary Friday. Tina Camacho remembers asking her daughter Cirena Artero, 16, about her day at school."We talked, and she said her day was okay," said Camacho.Cirena is one of Camacho's five children."Around 6:45 p.m., we thought she went to her room. Around 7:30 p.m., we knew she was missing. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — A Facebook post has hundreds of thousands of interactions after a woman shared a photo of a young barista who refused to serve her because she wasn't wearing a mask.The woman's post was captioned, "Meet lenen from Starbucks who refused to serve me cause I’m not wearing a mask. Next time I will wait for cops and bring a medical exemption."Many people are supporting Lenin, with people commenting saying things like “there’s no reason to publicly shame a kid who’s trying to work his shift like any other day.” Another saying “they are following what they're told. I understand your frustration But it's being at aimed at the wrong people." The spokesperson also said it’s up to businesses to enforce county rules and advised anyone with health problems to avoid public places.Many people also commented on the post saying they want to give Lenin the barista a tip, so one man stepped in to help. They design their products in Carlsbad, but production happens overseas, mainly in China.The country shut down for Chinese New Year and with the outbreak of Coronavirus, everyone stayed in quarantine."We were at about 10 percent capacity 10 days ago, we're up to 20 percent capacity today and we expect to be up to 50 percent capacity by mid-March," CEO of JLab Win Cramer said factories were shut down for about two months.That translated to delayed deliveries, "some products were delayed by two to three months, some products were delayed by 15-20 days," Cramer said.Cramer said Spring is a critical season for production, "this is when retailers turn over the wares that they sell in favor of the new fashion, the new technology."Adding to the stress, the company has been hit for the past year and a half with tariffs from Chinese goods."We paid -M in tariff fees to the government this year," Cramer said.That led to cuts across the company, chopping everything they could without sacrificing their team or raising the price of their products.Cramer said they even looked at little things around the office, "we had to renegotiate with our coffee supplier, say, 'hey, can you help us through tariffs? Can you bring your costs down so we can still use your service?'
