FORT ERIE, Ontario, Canada — Strong winds and a massive amount of ice created an unusual scene along the Niagara River in southern Ontario this past weekend. Video posted on Twitter by the Niagara Regional Police Service in Canada on Sunday shows what is being described as a "ice tsunami.”Strong winds blew the ice over a retaining wall from the river, create a large pile of ice along the road. This forced the Niagara Park Roads Department to close the parkway to protect drivers. Wind gusts up to 60 mph have hit the region, downing trees and causing power outages throughout western New York. 616
House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler on Monday announced a sweeping investigation into President Donald Trump's campaign, businesses, transition and administration, a probe that would lay the groundwork for Democrats if they choose to pursue impeachment proceedings against the President. The Judiciary Committee on Monday sent letters to 81 people and entities — including the White House, the Justice Department, senior campaign officials, Trump Organization officials and the President's sons — marking the start of a broad investigation that will tackle questions that include possible obstruction of justice, hush-money payments to women, collusion with Russia and allegations of the President abusing his office and using it for personal gain. They are demanding responses within two weeks. The sprawling net cast by the committee also signals that the Democratic-led investigations are likely to stretch on for months, with multiple committees seeking information from senior officials in the White House, the Trump campaign and the Trump Organization. The evidence gathered in the investigation would be the basis of a possible impeachment proceeding, which the Judiciary Committee would lead, though Nadler has said it's too soon to be discussing impeachment."We do not now have the evidence all sorted out and everything to do an impeachment," Nadler said in an interview 1391

I get to do a follow-up to one of my favorite stories! Six years ago I told you how a teen some thought would never walk or graduate surprised his entire class at commencement. Now he is beating the odds again! Story at 6. 238
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — A man in Florida has been arrested after he admitted to critically injuring a newborn that was under his care after the baby woke him up shortly after a recent feeding, deputies say. Aaron James Bordelon, 29, has been charged with Felony Aggravated Battery Great Bodily Harm Child Neglect with Great Bodily Harm. The 16-day-old child is in critical condition, suffering from skull fractures and severe traumatic brain injury. Bordelon told deputies he "forcefully" picked up the baby and admitted "this is my fault." Shortly after picking up the child he said the child's physical condition deteriorated, breathing slowed and bruising under the eyes and on the eyelids was visible. Bordelon did not call for immediate medical attention at the time, according to the Sheriff's Office. When the newborn's mother arrived at their location, Bordelon ordered a Lyft ride share and took the child to Brandon Regional Hospital. According to a press release, Bordelon attempted to conceal the bruising on the newborn with makeup but the mother tried to remove it before they arrived at the emergency room, according to deputies. "Abuse in any form is unacceptable and this case is especially tragic and emotionally difficult for our detectives as it involves an innocent and defenseless child" said Sheriff Chad Chronister. 1355
