"When we talk about bubbles, your bubble is really only as safe as the person who is the least interested in maintaining the safety of the bubble," Fielding-Miller said.Once Thanksgiving Day arrives, eating outdoors is much safer than indoors. Fielding-Miller also suggests trying to keep members of different households spaced out as much as possible. It is also critical to wear masks as much as possible.She also said that safety efforts do not end on Thanksgiving Day. "You need a plan for, I would say, testing five to eight days after you spent time with your family, so you can immediately let people know if you are positive and they need to get tested,” Fielding-Miller said. She also recommends keeping your children home from school for at least the first two days after the holiday, to protect them from children who may have contracted the virus during Thanksgiving trips.Fielding-Miller said how San Diego behaves to control the spread of the virus over Thanksgiving will help determine the severity of the situation for the December holidays. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Neighbors in College Area are a little more vigilant after a coyote attacking a chicken was caught on camera. Matt Dixon was grilling in his backyard when he heard squawking on the neighboring hillside. “One of the chicken flies into the fence,” said Dixon describing the video he took. “That’s when the coyote popped out of the clearing it there and made its way up and he eventually found what he was after.” Dixon posted the 28-second video online and found that people were quicker to forgive the coyote. “I got a lot of flak for not trying to help save the neighbor’s chicken and I can understand that,” said Dixon, “but it all happened so fast.” Other neighbors say they are more cautious with their children and pets outside knowing there can be coyotes in an urban area. 805

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — More Southern Californians are electing to live with their parents today, San Diego was considered among the top spots where adults live with their parents, ranking 15 on the 50-city survey, according to a study by MagnifyMoney. In the San Diego metropolitan area, 19.7% of adults aged 25 to 40 live with their parents, the study claimed."While these factors might play some role, the reality for most adults ages 25 to 40 living with their parents is that they lack the money to move out and establish their own households. Some might be unemployed and looking for work, while some have left the labor force altogether," the study says. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Mortgage brokers spent the past week calling and emailing clients around San Diego, telling people it's time to buy."Whenever I see a rate dip like that, my first reaction is to call everyone as fast as I can," says Broker Scott Davenport. "I try to get a hold of as many people that have been on that fence to jump on it as quickly as they can."The frenzy started when mortgage rates dropped .22% on March 27, to 4.06% on a 30-year fixed rate mortgage.It was the biggest single-week rate drop in more than a decade.RELATED: San Diego among top hot housing markets for 2019, Zillow reports"That could mean a savings of hundreds of dollars per month," says Davenport. "Or even hundreds of thousands of dollars over the course of a 30 year mortgage."Analysts say the drop came after the Federal Reserve said it was worried about the economy slowing down. It caused concern among investors, which led to good news for buyers."It's not gonna last," says Davenport. "You never know where the market's going to go. I expect rates to stay low through the summer, but at the same time, I don't expect them to stay low for long."Rates hit historic lows in 2012, around 3%, after the recession and housing bubble burst. Davenport says he doesn't see conditions that would create rates that low any time soon.
