(KGTV) -- The woman accused of hitting a pedestrian in Oceanside and continuing to drive after his body went through the windshield of her vehicle was found guilty Friday afternoon.A jury Friday found 31-year-old Esteysi “Stacy” Sanchez guilty of murder in the second degree, gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, and hit and run with death or permanent serious injury.Deputy District Attorney Robert Bruce told the jury that Sanchez displayed a conscious disregard for human life when she drove drunk and ran over 69-year-old Jack Ray Tenhulzen on a sidewalk on Mission Road near the state Route 76 bridge the morning of June 27, 2016.Tenhulzen’s body went through the windshield and into the passenger seat of her car.  The bottom of the victim's leg was severed in the accident but was recovered at the back of the car near the rear window.Tenhulzen was declared dead at the scene.Defense attorney Herb Weston argued that Sanchez was tired and fell asleep behind the wheel and rode up on the sidewalk, striking Tenhulzen. He said Sanchez "freaked out" when she saw the victim's body in her car and kept driving, finally stopping a block from her home.Sanchez was eventually arrested at her home, and she had shards of glass in her hair when taken into custody. Authorities said her blood-alcohol content was more than twice the legal limit about two hours after the collision.Sanchez faces up to 15 years to life in prison. (KGTV) -- The brother of San Diego hiker Paul Hanks is talking about his ordeal in Joshua Tree National Park. The best news they have to share with the public - Hanks is expected to make a full recovery. "Sunday was his birthday, he turned 54," said Dr. Steven Hanks, his brother. "He likes to take a hike on his birthday so he had gone out to Joshua Tree National Park after spending the morning with (our) mother."RELATED: Missing San Diego hiker found injured in Joshua TreeThe 54-year-old left San Diego on Sunday, March 11. His brother said he was reported missing on Tuesday, March 13 after he failed to show up to a meeting with his ex-wife in Las Vegas. Hanks' truck was found near the Maze Loop and Hanks was found by a member of the Joshua Tree Search and Rescue crew on Thursday, March 15. According to his son-in-law, Hanks broke his ankle and fractured his skull after falling 20 feet. He was missing for four days and buried himself in the sand to stay warm, drinking rainwater to stay hydrated until he was found."He had a very harrowing experience. It's a compelling story of survival and we were just stunned when they found him," Hanks' brother said. "I think he's just incredibly thankful to be alive." When asked if he thought the experience hiker would ever return to Joshua Tree National Park, his brother said:"I think he'll absolutely go back. I do know if he goes back, he won't be going back without a satellite phone...a flare gun," he said, smiling. "He really thought he was going on a minimal risk venture. (KGTV) — The addition of a "notorious" galactic cantina will bring not only smugglers and bounty hunters to Disneyland in 2019, but also alcohol sales for the first time.Disneyland's "Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge" will be home to Oga's Cantina, an "otherworldy" stop for music and exotic concoctions, park officials announced Thursday.Among the cantina's limited menu options will be wine, beer, and both non-alcoholic and alcoholic cocktails, according to Disney officials. Officials added that those drinks will need to consumed inside the cantina — so no running around at light speed with a drink.RELATED: Disneyland's 'Star Wars' expansion gets an opening dateMenu options for kids and those under 21 will also be available, officials promised.The "Star Wars" inspired cocktails mark the first time alcohol will be publicly sold at the park since it opened in 1955.Alcohol sales are already allowed at Disneyland's California Adventure Park and Downtown Disney. A 17-year-old victim in a series of deadly package bombs delivered to homes in Austin, Texas, was identified Tuesday as Draylen Mason, as a law enforcement source revealed the same person may have constructed the three devices.Mason, described by Austin Police Chief Brian Manley as an "outstanding young man who was going places with his life," was killed when a package on the porch of a Texas home exploded Monday morning. His mother is in stable condition.The name of a 75-year-old woman wounded in a second incident Monday has not been released. The bombings have shaken residents and cast suspicion on one of life's common occurrences: getting a package delivered to your doorstep.One of the explosive packages was brought indoors and yielded parts that could be reconstructed, according to the law enforcement source. The devices were essentially pipe bombs rigged to explode upon opening, the source said.The three package bombs have exploded at homes in the Texas capital over 10 days, killing two people and injuring two others. Investigators say they believe the incidents are related, and residents have responded anxiously in the past day.Austin police have received 265 calls about suspicious packages, Manley said Tuesday, though police haven't indicated any subsequent check revealing anything alarming."What caused this in these instances was a suspicious package that no one was suspecting or expecting," Austin Mayor Steve Adler said Tuesday.
