After Senate Bill 1421 went into effect on January 1, 2019, California law enforcement agencies are required to make internal reports for officer-involved shootings and major uses of force, officer dishonesty and confirmed cases of sexual assault available to the public. There may be some documents related to earlier cases included based on their content and those parties involved. We will be continuing to upload documents to this database as they are released.All of the information in this database has been gathered from the police reports or investigation files made public by the law enforcement organization. The information has been summarized and entered based on the following:The race or sex of the individual involved was entered as it was reported by the police agency.The reports did not include information about the race or sex of the law enforcement officer, so this information is not included in the database.The officers involved listed in the database as being involved in the incidents are those listed as the “reporting officer” on the released reports.When classifying “use of force,” we selected all forms of force used as reported in the report or investigative file.The summary of the incident was written by KGTV journalists who reviewed all documents in the case. A White House official said President Donald Trump and his legal team are reevaluating whether Trump should sit down for an interview with special counsel Robert Mueller's team in light of the raid aimed at the President's personal attorney, Michael Cohen."The President has made no decision regarding the interview but anybody with common sense will see the attack on his lawyer as cause to reevaluate," the official said.The official added that the President's cooperation should be proportional to the courtesy he receives from the special counsel. Actor Kevin Spacey is seeking unspecified treatment following an accusation of sexual assault by an actor who says he was a minor at the time of the incident."Kevin Spacey is taking the time necessary to seek evaluation and treatment," Spacey's publicist, Staci Wolfe, said in a statement Wednesday night. No other information is available at this time."Actor Anthony Rapp told BuzzFeed on Sunday that Spacey made a sexual advance toward him at a party in 1986. ALPINE, Calif. (KGTV) -- A local animal sanctuary is mourning the loss of Shadow the leopard.Shadow first came to Lions Tigers & Bears in Alpine four years ago after being rescued from a defunct animal sanctuary in South Dakota.Unfortunately, Shadow was plagued with health issues, including skin disease and leaky heart valves.The leopard’s health continued to deteriorate this year, and Lions Tigers & Bears officials decided to put Shadow down this weekend.Shadow is the second big cat the Alpine sanctuary has lost in two weeks; on Oct. 26, a tiger killed another when they were accidentally brought into close contact with one another. 656

A Highlands County, Florida resident has died from rabies after being bitten by a bat, the Florida Department of Health has confirmed.The DOH says that the disease was likely transmitted when the individual was bitten by the bat. They say that the individual did not seek treatment at that time and did not receive rabies post-exposure prophylaxis. The individual passed away from the rabies infection.DOH says that it is important to avoid direct contact with wildlife. If you believe you may have been exposed to rabies, including any physical contact with a bat, contact your health care provider and your county health department right away.If an exposure occurred, it is important to administer treatment in a timely manner.
