A Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, neighborhood had plenty to talk about Monday morning!A large gator was found in a swimming pool at a home in the Marlwood Estates community on Graemoor Terrace, and had to be removed.Video from a neighbor shows a trapper hauling the huge reptile out of the pool and dragging it across the lawn.It's unclear how the gator got into the fenced yard, or how big it is.Vanessa Schultz said she was walking her kids to the bus stop around 7:15 a.m. Monday when she was told a large alligator was in her neighbor's pool. "It was big, really big," said Schultz, who captured images of the alligator. "I was totally in panic. When I saw the alligator I was scared."Schultz said she’s lived in Marlwood Estates for three years and has only seen a gator there once before. She said the an alligator was spotted in a lake last year behind her property.Schultz, a mother of three, thinks the gator in the pool was likely 9 feet long and over 300 pounds."It totally concerns me. So now I’m scared and I don’t want to leave my kids outside playing in the backyard," said Schultz. "I also need to check the pool and check before going outside the house."The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said the gator was 9 feet long, and was relocated to a farm."It concerns me. A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a boy was thrown from the 10th floor at the Tate Modern gallery in central London on Sunday, the city's Metropolitan Police said.The 6-year-old was found badly injured on a fifth-floor roof and was taken to a hospital by a helicopter, police said.Officers initially said the boy was in critical condition. In an update on Monday, they said he was in "critical but stable condition." They added the boy's family was being supported by police.Police said the 17-year-old male suspect had remained with members of the public on the 10th-floor viewing platform and was taken into police custody."There is nothing to suggest that he is known to the victim," the statement added.The London Ambulance said it received the first call about the incident at 2:40 p.m. local time (9:40 a.m. ET)."We sent two ambulance crews, an incident response officer, a medic in a response car and an advanced paramedic to the scene. It makes me focus on everything.”Others, however, say they know better than to mix cars and cannabis. “Do not smoke weed and drive,” said marijuana smoker Sam Lee. “We all know we can barely think straight instead of drive.”Now, a team of medical professionals is studying the dangers of smoking and driving.“There’s been increasing concern about the potential of public health impacts of people using cannabis while they drive or shortly after,” said Dr. Michael Kosnett of the University of Colorado Denver.Kosnett is teaming up with Rocky Mountain Poison and Drug Safety on a study about the effects of cannabis while operating a motor vehicle.This study tests three focus groups: daily smokers, occasional smokers and non-smokers as they go through tests measuring reaction times, hand-eye coordination and short-term memory.More than a year into the study, the team has hit an unexpected road block: they can’t seem to find occasional smokers.“As for people who just used it occasionally, like on a weekly basis, that was probably less than one-fourth of the people,” Kosnett said.This study is still in process.
