Maybe I can use that patio during the day,’” Armatas said. “So, I got in contact with Matt.”Matt Ruff is the general manager and part owner of Dazzle, one of the top 100 jazz clubs in the world.“It’s kind of foolish not to lend our neighbors a hand during this time,” Ruff said.Ruff is lending Dazzle’s outdoor patio space to Sam’s during the day for free, a move customers seem to appreciate while industry experts are calling it a financial Band-Aid.According to the National Restaurant Association, somewhere between 15,000 to 20,000 restaurants across the country closed their doors for good during this pandemic.Experts expect that number to increase nationwide as an estimated 8,000,000 American service industry workers are already out of jobs.“We’re monthly doing the revenue we would do on a good Saturday,” Ruff said. “How do you survive with doing something like that?”So far, this partnership with Dazzle and Sam’s sharing space seems to be working out well for both businesses.“It’s been awesome,” Armatas said. ”It’s an additional 12 to 15 seats that we didn’t have before.”The plan is to continue sharing this space until these establishments are able to operate at full capacity or the weather no longer allows for outdoor seating. 2020

BONITA (CNS) - A man and a woman in their 80s were found dead inside their Bonita home by a relative checking on their welfare, authorities said Friday.San Diego County sheriff's deputies responded at 2:56 p.m. Thursday to the residence in the 5500 block of Pray Street, Lt. Michael Blevins said.The relative had stopped to check on them because they had not heard from the couple in days, Blevins said."Both had traumatic injuries," he said.Sheriff's homicide detectives were investigating, Blevins said. BONSALL, Calif. (KGTV) — A Carlsbad man was found dead after his vehicle was located down an embankment in the Bonsall area.A 77-year-old man was reported missing to Carlsbad Police earlier on Saturday before California Highway Patrol was also notified about the man. A location search of the man's mobile phone led authorities and family members to a location at Old Highway 395 and Interstate 15.CHP and family members responded to the scene, where a 2016 Mercedes was found down the embankment on Old Highway 395, below the road level and out of view from traffic. The missing man was found dead inside the vehicle. It wasn't clear what caused the crash, but CHP said impairment is not believed to be a factor.Anyone who may have information on the crash is asked to call CHP at 858-637-3800. 803

BOONE COUNTY, Ind. -- An Indiana Sheriff's deputy who was shot while assisting police early Friday morning will not survive his injuries according to the Boone County Sheriff.  Deputy Jacob Pickett was critically injured in a shooting while assisting the Lebanon Police Department with a pursuit of a wanted individual. He is being kept alive on life support so that his organs can be donated. At least one other law enforcement officer on the scene returned fire, striking one of the suspects.Pickett was taken to St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis where he was last listed in critical condition. The injured suspect, identified as Anthony Bumgarht, 21, is in stable condition at this time. Two other suspects, John D. Baldwin Sr., 55, and John D, Baldwin Jr., 28, both fled after the shooting. Baldwin Jr. was arrested a short time later after a wrong-way pursuit on I-65.   926
