A wallet-sized card with a picture of a young girl in West Michigan on the front may not mean much, but once flipped over the card’s intent is revealed.It asks people to pay it forward.“When we see the cards, we’re sad, but we’re happy because people look at the card and see our daughter,” said Cindi Rasmussen.Cindi and her husband, Mark, are the parents of the girl on the card.Her name is Molly.The parents describe the 16-year-old Forest Hills East student as fun-loving, social, and always on the go.“My favorite line of mine was, ‘When you finish what you’re doing, can you take me to Starbucks? Or can you take me to the gas station to get candy?’” Mark remembered.But this past June, everything stopped for the family.Molly died while swimming with a friend at Lake Bella Vista in Cannon Township. According to her parents, Molly was an epileptic and had a seizure in the water.“There’s not a day or a second that I don’t think about her,” said Mark.“That whole night was awful,” said Cindi.However, in the midst of their grief came Molly’s Cards, which encourage people to perform a small task, like opening a door or paying for coffee, in honor of the Grand Rapids native.Cindi says one of her former co-workers created Molly's Cards after Cindi asked people to pay it forward in lieu of sending more flowers to their family.The family estimates more than 1,000 Molly’s Cards have been distributed already. A new complaint has been filed against casino owner Steve Wynn.The complaint was filed by a woman identified only as "Jane Doe." According to the complaint, the woman was an employee for The Claude Baruk Salon in 2015 when she began giving manicures and pedicures to Wynn.She says that Wynn would require her to position herself in certain ways during the services that would put her in direct contact with body parts other than his hands or feet. When she would attempt to withdraw, he would become irritated.According to the complaint, Jane Doe went to Claude Baruk and other members of management. She says that Baruk ignored her complaints but she was told by other members of management that it would stop.Jane Doe says she also shared what happened with her coworkers and heard similar stories. The woman says that she feared that she would lose her job if she kept complaining.After the story broke in the Washington Post, the woman says that Wynn visited the salon twice to speak with salon employees.The first time was on Jan. 27. Wynn reportedly requested the employees to be gathered and then asked them to raise their hands if they felt he had ever assaulted them.The second time was on Feb. 1 during a birthday party for a salon employee. Jane Doe says Wynn brought a video crew with him that time and demanded that employees give video statements saying he did nothing wrong.The complaint also says that Wynn is still receiving manicures and pedicures in the salon or in his on-site villa.The lawsuit was filed on Tuesday with the Clark County District Court. Two lawsuits were filed last week by massage therapists who also accused Wynn of inappropriate conduct.Wynn resigned as CEO of Wynn Resorts last month. He is denying all allegations but said that he did not believe he could be an effective company leader.He also resigned as chairman for the Republican National Committee.  1915

A migrant rescue ship has docked in Malta after being stranded for days in the Mediterranean amid a diplomatic dispute over which country should accept the 141 migrants on board.The migrants, including two pregnant women and 67 unaccompanied minors, disembarked from the Aquarius Wednesday at Senglea, a port city in Malta. They will soon be sent to locations in France, Germany, Luxembourg, Spain and Portugal, which have agreed to take them.The mood on board was jubilant as the ship neared the port, according to video tweeted by charity Doctors without Borders (MSF). The images also showed a large sign suspended on an outside wall at the port that read, "Everyone has the right to life."In another video, upbeat music can be heard blaring as the ship docked.
