WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that the Manhattan district attorney's office can see President Donald Trump’s tax returns and other financial records, but Congress cannot, at least for now.The two separate decisions were announced Thursday on the court’s final opinion day of its 2019-2020 term, which lasted more than a week longer than it historically does, likely because of the COVID-19 pandemic.The vote in both cases was 7-2. WASHINGTON (AP) — The Trump administration is deploying agents from the border to “sanctuary” cities that are hindering stepped up immigration enforcement. Acting Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Matthew Albence announced the use of Customs and Border Patrol agents in the interior of the country on Friday. Albence said the move is necessary because sanctuary cities are refusing to cooperate with ICE in the capture of immigrants. He says border agents will “supplement” ICE. WEST ORANGE, New Jersey (WPIX) — A snowstorm that caused chaos for commuters Thursday also left hundreds of students stranded in New Jersey schools overnight.School buses were unable to get to schools in West Orange, forcing the district to keep the children overnight into Friday.Eight West Orange Public School District schools, including a preschool, had students spend the night.More than 200 students in all slept at West Orange schools.Liberty Middle School housed the most students, with about 25 teachers looking after about 100 students overnight.The school’s principal kept the public updated with pictures and the latest information on their students, who were kept entertained and fed.As of 5:30 a.m. Friday, staff began serving students French toast for breakfast.District officials hoped roads would be clear Friday morning so buses could return the students home, but snow began to fall again.Police escorted students home who were not able to be picked up by their family, school officials said.A handful of students remained at school as of 9 a.m.West Orange public schools will be closed Friday. 1121

"Fifty years ago, an American Marine fought with unmatched bravery in one of the longest and bloodiest battles of the Vietnam War, the battle of Hue city."According to the White House, Canley, a native of Caledonia, Arkansas, now living in Oxnard, California, fought off multiple enemy attacks over several days in January and February of 1968 while his company of about 150 men carried out a counter-offensive to retake the city of Hue from North Vietnamese and Viet Cong forces, which numbered into the thousands.The operation by the North Vietnamese and Viet Cong forces became known as the Tet Offensive because coordinated attacks against targets in South Vietnam, including Hue, were launched as the Vietnamese celebrated the lunar new year, or Tet holiday."He assaulted enemy strongholds, killed enemy fighters and with deadly accuracy did everything you had to do," Trump said. "He raced into heavy machine gun fire on many occasions — all to save his fellow Marines. In one harrowing engagement after another, John risked his own life to save the lives of those under his command."Canley took over after his commanding officer was severely wounded in the battle to retake Hue, which was held by at least 6,000 communist fighters, Trump said.On the fifth day of combat, Canley's company was charged with liberating the Joan of Arc school, which had become the communists' strategic and symbolic stronghold in the city.Machine gun fire greeted them.
