When the former President learned of the plan, he decided to join in. Check out the pictures below: Everyone's #TuesdayThoughts are on President Bush & we wanted to share a memory. It all started at 20 years old on stage at the NFL draft when my dream came true, and now here I am about to turn 30 in a few months with a decision I feel is the biggest of my life so far. I will be retiring from the game of football today. I am so grateful for the opportunity that Mr. Kraft and Coach Belichick gave to me when drafting my silliness in 2010. My life experiences over the last 9 years have been amazing both on and off the field. The people I have meet, the relationships I have built, the championships I have been apart of, I just want to thank the whole New England Patriots organization for every opportunity I have been giving and learning the great values of life that I can apply to mine. Thank you to all of Pats Nation around the world for the incredible support since I have been apart of this 1st class organization. Thank you for everyone accepting who I am and the dedication I have put into my work to be the best player I could be. But now its time to move forward and move forward with a big smile knowing that the New England Patriots Organization, Pats Nation, and all my fans will be truly a big part of my heart for rest of my life. It was truly an incredible honor to play for such a great established organization and able to come in to continue and contribute to keep building success. To all my current and past teammates, thank you for making each team every year special to be apart of. I will truly miss you guys. Cheers to all who have been part of this journey, cheers to the past for the incredible memories, and a HUGE cheers to the uncertain of whats next. 1614

In new guidance released on Monday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says new mothers can breastfeed if they either have COVID-19 or suspect they have the virus. The CDC said that the change comes as new evidence suggests that babies cannot get the coronavirus from breast milk. The agency stated that when researchers added COVID to breast milk, it became inactivated via pasteurization.Monday's news is in contrast to what the CDC thought in June when they were less sure it was safe. For mothers who don't have COVID-19 and have not come into contact with anyone who has the virus, the CDC said they do not need to take special precautions when feeding at the breast or expressing milk. For mothers who might have the virus or have come into contact with someone who has the virus, the CDC recommends the mother and the child being breastfed should quarantine together at home for 14 days.Mothers should also wear a mask when breastfeeding, the agency said. 978
It's hard to know what salaries will look like next year.Staffing firm Robert Half surveyed senior managers and found 72% of companies have maintained the same salary or slightly increased pay for new hires since the COVID-19 pandemic began.More than a third are more likely to negotiate compensation with candidates now versus a year ago.“That’s telling me that these positions that have been hard to fill, there is so many information technology security positions available, they're looking for data analysts data scientists,” said Paul McDonald, Senior Executive Director at Robert Half.Workers can also broaden their search outside their geographic area. More companies are willing to hire full-time remote workers.“It’s one thing to talk broadly about what the compensation desires are for you and your family or you,” said McDonald. “The other side is don’t go too far in that first conversation. The negotiation happens after you have an offer.”If the company won’t budge on pay, they may offer other benefits, like help paying for home internet, more paid time off, and opportunities to upskill.Robert Half says roles in IT security with the least amount of experience make just under 0,000 a year on average. The salary range can be adjusted by geography, along with advanced degrees and certifications. There are salaries for some 470 positions listed on RobertHalf.com. 1390
Is getting a new job on the top of your holiday wish list this year? Well, experts say, December is actually one of the best times to look for a job."We’re hearing from many hiring managers that they will still be working to fill their positions over the next couple of weeks," said Robert Half senior regional president Karen Policastro.Policastro says now is as good a time as any to put yourself out there, especially in this highly-competitive job market."Make sure you are extremely active over the holidays because many hiring and decision makers want to be able to have their staff filled and complete and hit the ground running come January," said Policastro. And now, nine months into the pandemic, the job fields that are hiring are a little different."We’ve seen an influx in accounts payable clerks, collections clerks, HR positions. Surprisingly, we have a lot of human resource positions come through," said Policastro. She says with so many people working from home, help desk positions and customer service positions are also in high demand."Companies have had to shift and be extremely flexible due to the pandemic. And these positions have definitely become more in demand," said Policastro. And if you’re one of the millions of service industry workers who have lost their jobs or have had your hours cut, these could potentially be great jobs."If you’ve been in the restaurant industry, you definitely have customer service skills. So, cater your resume and/or online profile, cover letter, to really highlight the customer experience that you were able to provide," said Policastro.Policastro also says a lot of companies are looking to hire temporary or contract positions, especially while they're remote. So, think about those options as well. A lot of places are posting job openings on sites like LinkedIn. Make sure your profile is up to date and says, "Available Immediately". 1909
