(KGTV) -- Sweetwater Bike Park in Bonita is the first of its kind for San Diego County parks, and it was a long time in the making."As an organization, we have been advocating for over 10 years for this type of park in the county, so we're thrilled," says Susie Murphy, the Executive Director of the San Diego Mountain Biking Association.The park opened in January, and riders of all ages and levels showed up on two wheels."On opening day, I like to say the youngest rider was seventeen months old, and the oldest was seventy-four. It's for all ages, from tiny kids on their Strider bikes, up to teenagers from the neighborhood on their BMX bikes," Murphy says.And Murphy says she loves the design of the park. It comes with jumps, two flow trails, and a skills zone."Every day it puts a smile on my face," Murphy says. Unfortunately, soon after the park opened, it had to be shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. "We did not know what to expect, it was definitely a disappointment," added Murphy.The park was closed for a couple of months, but is now back open for business, but with a few rule changes."Right now we're only letting fifty people come in at a time," says Park Ranger Adair Flores. "They are required to wear a mask when they come in and they do have to stay six feet apart from each other. They can't group up in the gazebo areas when they are riding, and it's recommended they wear a mask, but you know, it's harder to breathe with it." 1482

BROOKLYN, Iowa — The family and friends of Mollie Tibbets, missing since July 18, have set up a reward fund in hopes that information leading to her whereabouts will find its way to authorities soon."We believe Mollie is still alive, and if someone has abducted her, we are pleading with you to please release her," a spokeswoman for the family said during a news conference Thursday morning.She urged anyone with information to call the tip line (800) 452-1111 or submit tips via Crimestoppers of Central Iowa website.Anonymous tips funneled through Crimestoppers of Central Iowa will be shared with authorities and investigators working to locate Mollie while ensuring the protection of the identities of those providing information, she said.  As of 10 a.m. Thursday, 2,000 had been raised for the reward fund. "It is our greatest hope that if someone has her, that they would just release her and claim that money that we have raised for her freedom," she said.Getting the information out beyond Mollie's community will be key to finding her, Greg Wiley said at the press conference. Wiley addressed the security technology behind the P-3 anonymous tip line, which encrypts and scrubs the identity and provides only an ID number."If they contact us, we can protect their identity. ...We don't know who you are even if we wanted to know who you are," he said. BARRON COUNTY, Wis. - The home of Jayme Closs, a Wisconsin girl missing for about two weeks, was burglarized on the same weekend her parents were laid to rest.On Saturday, the Barron County Sheriff's Office says officers arrested 32-year-old Kyle Jaenke-Annis for burglary at the Closs home.According to a criminal complaint, Jaenke-Annis broke into the Closs home and stole several pieces of clothing believed to belong to Jayme, including tank tops, a dress, and underwear. According to the criminal complaint, Jaenke-Annis told authorities he was "curious about what size Jayme was". The Sheriff's Office says Jaenke-Annis has been cleared of any involvement in the disappearance but was charged in Barron County Court on Monday with Burglary and Bail Jumping. Online court records show Jaenke-Annis was facing charges for a different burglary case from August.Jayme Closs was reported missing after her parents were found murdered in their home two weeks ago. There has been no sign of Jayme since. A funeral for her parents was held Saturday afternoon. The Sheriff's Office says it has received over 2,000 tips and have closed over 1,875 of them in the search for Jayme. BATON ROUGE, La. — Louisiana officials have announced two deaths from Hurricane Delta.Gov. John Bel Edwards said Sunday an 86-year-old man from St. Martin Parish died in a fire that started after he refueled a power generator in a shed. The governor said it didn't appear that the man had let the generator cool down before refueling it.Louisiana officials are also attributing the death of a 70-year-old woman to the hurricane. State officials said the Iberia Parish woman died in a fire caused by a natural gas leak.Earlier Sunday, officials in Florida said a 19-year-old tourist from Illinois drowned after being caught in a rip current unleashed by the remnants of Delta in the Gulf Coast.Delta made landfall Friday evening in southwest Louisiana as a Category 2 hurricane and then began weakening quickly over land. It came weeks after Hurricane Laura battered the same region.Laura claimed 32 lives, though only seven of the deaths came the day that the hurricane struck. Many others were caused by carbon monoxide poisoning from generators.As of Sunday, utility crews in Louisiana are scrambling to restore power and residents in the besieged southwest part of the state are vowing to rebuild in the wake of Delta. 1229
