EL CAJON, Calif. (KGTV) — A beloved visitor center and community "treasure" designed by a famed artist is routinely being turned into a trashed party pad.The small building, dubbed the Hubbell Kiosk, is located in the Crestridge Ecological Reserve. Designed by famed artist and architect James Hubbell, the partial build was destroyed by the Cedar Fire in 2003. The wood, clay and straw-filled project was rebuilt several years later.Then last month, Lands Manager Kyle Smith discovered a smashed skylight and a mess inside."Vomit, beer bottles, drug paraphernalia. It looked like a war zone went off," said Smith.The scene they left behind, including wrecked displays and broken chairs, has become a familiar one.Video surveillance has captured the party goers in five break-ins since early August. Some of the faces appear to be repeat revelers.The break-ins leads to thousands of dollars in repairs and extra security precautions. Endangered Habitats Conservancy, the non-profit that oversees the site, hopes someone will recognize the photos of the vandals. Smith has a message for the party-goers."You're not welcome here. (KGTV) - The San Diego Sheriff’s Office is investigating how several pounds of narcotics wound up magnetized to a man’s truck.A Mexican citizen who lives in Tijuana but works in El Cajon noticed a strange object in his fender Thursday morning and called authorities.Deputies found 4 packages containing roughly 5 pounds of narcotics hidden underneath the man’s pickup truck.The man’s next door neighbor informed them that they had seen men tampering with the victim’s truck overnight.“It’s our feeling that someone targeted this car because he could cross the border every day with the SENTRI pass and they were probably waiting to collect the narcotics later today,” said Sgt. Tim Chantler of the Sheriff’s office.Drivers with a SENTRI pass can travel in establishes dedicated commuter lanes to and cross the border faster after applying and being prescreened. Deputies are awaiting test results for the drugs but suspect either meth, heroin, or fentanyl.The driver is not considered a suspect as he called 911, according to authorities. “I would be checking my vehicle every day before I cross the border” said Sgt. Disney has narrowed down the opening dates for their Stars Wars expansions that are being built at both Disneyland and Disney World.The company announced on their Disney Parks blog that Star Wars Galaxy's Edge will open at Disneyland in summer of 2019. The expansion will open at Disney World in late fall 2019.The exact dates for the opening of both parks will be announced at a later date. They come just a few months before the yet to be named Star Wars Episode 9 is due in theaters on December 20, 2019.At Disneyland the massive expansion is being built north of Frontierland. At Disney World is being built at Disney's Hollywood Studios.The Disney World expansion is also being accompanied by a Star Wars themed hotel.
