The Paris climate change conference, gathering about 150 world leaders, is the latest attempt to reduce carbon emissions through a legally binding treaty after Copenhagen talks failed to strike a deal in 2009.

The BRICS held its 7th summit in July in the southwestern Russian city of Ufa, at which it announced the launch of the New Development Bank and Contingent Reserve Arrangement, two flagship projects of the BRICS cooperation mechanism.

He urged the two sides to align their development strategies, expand the scale of two-way trade, optimize their trade structure and enhance dialogue on deepening production chain and supply chain cooperation.

Underscoring the importance of innovation in the three countries' economic growth and industry competitiveness, he said that China, Japan and South Korea can build up synergies in their own development strategies to create new growth momentum.

He said Afghanistan hopes to further deepen cooperation with China so as to promote its socio-economic development.
