(KGTV) - A North County mom is giving thanks as she searches for the "roadside angels" who came to her family's side after a car crash.Aleisha Sargent was behind the wheel with her two kids — 10-year-old Calli and her 7-year-old brother Tyson — in the middle row of the van last Thursday. They stopped at the intersection of Ridge Road and Lake Blvd. when Sargent says her light turned green, a car ran a red light and broadsided her."Just taking my two youngest children to school around 7:30 that morning," said Sargent. "Spun in the middle of the intersection, almost 180 degrees ... My glasses flew off. Couldn't see my kids, which was scary. Calli was asking what was happening. Tyson was saying his head hurt," said Sargent.As they sat in the van, a woman appeared next to them."She asked if we were okay, opened the door and helped me and my children to the side of the road, where we sat on the sidewalk. She called 911 ... She said she was an off-duty nurse and proceeded to check out the children."They were shaking and scared," said Sargent.Both women reassured them and wrapped them in blankets, before they eventually left. Sargent was able to say thank you to the off-duty nurse, but it was quick."I was able to sit there and hold my children as they calmed down. It's an outcome Sargent says was made possible by the women she calls her "roadside angels." ORLANDO, Fla. — A federal judge is instructing the Census Bureau to text every 2020 census worker by Friday, letting them know the count of every U.S. resident is continuing through the end of the month and not ending next week, as the agency previously had announced in violation of her injunction.The new order issued late Thursday by U.S. District Lucy Koh in San Jose, California, instructs the Census Bureau to send out a mass text saying an Oct. 5 target data for finishing the nation’s head count is not in effect. On Wednesday, Facebook announced that it launched a million grant program to support Black-owned businesses.Back in June, the social media giant committed a 0 million investment that was aimed at helping U.S. Black-owned businesses, creators, and nonprofits.On Wednesday, the company began accepting applications for the grants.To apply for a grant, the company must be a majority Black-owned for-profit business, have less than 50 employees, been in business for over a year, and experienced challenges from COVID-19, Facebook said.The grants comprise of ,500 in cash and ,500 in optional advertising credits to use on Facebook. On Monday, social media website Reddit banned r/The_Donald, a subreddit devoted to discussing President Donald Trump, as a part of a purge of more than 2,000 groups on the site that were in violation of the social media site's rules, according to The New York Times and The Verge.The move marks a stark change in Reddit policy. Previously, Reddit has allowed groups and individuals more leeway when censoring content on the site.Launched in 2015 along with Trump's presidential campaign, r/The_Donald grew to nearly 800,000 members before it was removed from Reddit. While the group did not have any affiliation with Trump or the Trump campaign, the then-Republican nominee participated in an "Ask Me Anything" discussion in the group during the 2016 presidential campaign.The group has become known for a breeding ground for conspiracy theories. According to reports, the group helped propel the "Pizzagate" theory that led to the arrest of an armed man at a D.C.-area pizza restaurant shortly after the 2016 election. It also routinely hosted Islamophobic discussions and promoted other content many considered to be racist.According to a disclaimer, Reddit says r/The_Donald was banned violating Rules 1 (harassment, threats of violence), 2 (spamming, vote manipulation) and 8 (don't break the site or do anything that interferes with the normal use of Reddit).Reddit had previously taken steps to curtail r/The_Donald. In June 2019, the network "quarantined" the site, meaning that the subreddit would not show up in search results and could not appear on the site's front page. In addition, anyone attempting to visit the forum would be met with a warning screen.The move comes about three weeks after Reddit published a blog post outlining changes to the social network's policies.
